Ok then all the Euro scouts out there, Tell me how Vitor would have kept Wigan in the Prem seeing as hes better than Martinez, Which is bull IMO

Mantinez took his team down to the Championship despite winning a cup. He had a good few years to fix his awful defensive line but he failed to do so. He was not ashamed to get smash by opposition 8-0 or 9-1 by playing the so-called "attractive attacking football". He lost too many matches and winning far too few. Pereira at least won't be silly enough to play 3 at the back even though the team kept conceding cricket score.

What's with people knocking the optimism over getting Pereira? We've lost our manager to Man United ffs I fully expect Everton to be chasing up managers of Pereira's caliber.

Even previous Wigan managers have done better than Martinez

Pereira would of finished top half of the table with Wigan.

villa looked like going down bar 2 results, to be honest. i dont think there was a third bad side after reading and qpr (who both deserved what they got). villa - 11 youth players building. do you relaly want them to do go down? no. me neither. newcastle - i used to hate them. rebuilt. a team of people who try... do you want them to go down? i dont care! sunderland? i dont care...

i guess my point is, i'm glad villa didnt go down playing youth players. i hope they do well next year. remember the games we had against them the last 5 years? proper football games.... your score 3 i'll score 4 affairs. all of a sudden they realise they have a really old squad and have sole their asset so bring in youth... this year they arent a team to beat and we forget the last 5 years battles with them.

good luck to them next year. they may be in better shape than us. i hope not. i hope we have a manage who can use our excellent 11 player and bring in another 6 young lads this year otherwise we are a bit fudged the year after... or the year after that...

Vitor winning the league over there is like Lennon winning it in Scotland, He had to over turn one team in Benfica

He was knocked out of both domestic cups by weaker teams as well, Thats the last sort of man we want
