I wouldn't mind a coach with recent success in Bundesliga. I've mentioned Favre from M'Gladbach in the past, but Christian Streich (Freiburg) could be an interesting option as well, but more of a gamble than Favre due to lack of experience outside Freiburg.

Well he said he'd release him. That's why I said what I said.

But in 2005 he said he'd give me a bonus when working for JJB. I'm still waiting.

he also said he would only do that for a "big club", which he then jibed Everton where not, whether we are or not is arguable, but coming from Wigan is downright hilarious.

This is definately the way to go for me. Tuffel gets a mention too. I would also throw in Lauren Blance who is out of work.
I say this not just because I want a foreign coach. But, if you look at Everton as a club, it's strengths and weaknesses, and what we need to do to progress, we have a lot in common with clubs on the continent. (specifically Holland, Germany, France).
The fans demand a quite high intensity, passionate game. We have a good academy, situated in the biggest football city in the country which we have well scouted. This results in lots of talented young players who need to be brought through better.
As a downside, we don't have much money, and have to sell our best players, and have to replace them with cheaper alternatives. Many of the clubs in Holland and france, (and indeed Germany) operate in a similar way.
The said coaches areway better than some (indeed most) of the names being mentioned.

I second this...

I agree in principle, but you won't get high intensity football with Laurent Blanc though, more of a defensive minded possession based team, something like Swansea under Rodgers.

Would rather toast my spuds in a george foreman than have Martinez! Can someone explain exactly what he offers? Poor team, poor football and relegation with a club who Jewell and Bruce both managed to keep up and the fecker has 200 votes wtf!!!

Whoever we get is going to be a risk, but we need to try Joe reduce or minimise this as much as possible, hence not appointing from within when nobody has any experience of management whatsoever.

Blanc or Periera would be great for me. He wasn't bad for France considering they have all those idiots, and was great for bordeaux

Not sure if this question has been asked before, but if Kenwright has asked for Moyes' advice on his successor, what makes do you think he put forward?
