There's a very defined split amongst the posters on this forum.
The Bill Bashers claiming it's a done deal with Stubbs and Neville or weir and Neville.
The rest like myself think it's a two horse race between Pereira and Martinez.
My guess is we're waiting on Pereira to make his decision,if he turns us down then the jobs Martinez's.
We will all know pretty soon.

That's exactly the line of thought Kenwright wants you to think (with the added step of Martinez staying at Wigan or going elsewhere and therefore triggering the *only possible solution* of an internal appointment). They play our fans like a grand piano. This race was run last week and the winner is just waiting to be announced when a decent enough time has been allowed to elapse. Evertonians = the most gullible fans in English football.

So, you're saying there is NO chance of anyone other than an internal candidate because the Board are only interested in their own pocket? Seems an odd standpoint of theirsnto me mate if thats the case - if I were the major shareholder and had was trying to safeguard the potential windfall from my 'investment' I'd want the best damn manager available.

Exactly - you can say the board do things on the cheap sometimes - I'll have that - but 'cheapest solution to all issues' - no. For example, the cheapest possible option was not to sign Mirallas - it was to sign no-one.

Lads, it really will be Phil Neville.

There is no way Everton will pay 10 million to release a manager from his contract when they can promote for free from within.

Bill Kenwright will want to appoint the best manager. He will want to appoint the next SAF,ensuring stability and success for years to come.
Unfortunately it is very difficult to make an appointment like that ,but to suggest that an internal appointment is being made to save money just makes no sense, the saving of a million or two could cost the club tens of millions.

If there is an internal appointment it will be from the fear of change rather than any savings made.
I think Bill Kenwright is a bit in awe of David Moyes and may try to keep the set up as close as possible to the Moyes era.

That may or may not be a good idea.

Won't need to pay for Pereira and Whelan said he'd release Martinez if he wanted to go.
