I think I can sum up my thoughts on the whole process a little quicker than that: until such time as Billy Liar and his carpetbagging mates are swept out of the club you can expect the cheapest solution to all outstanding issues. In this instance it means employing an in-house yes man who'll be grateful for the job. All the other 'possibilities' are pure fantasy.

For all the cheapness all over the rest of the club, top dollar was paid in salary to keep Moyes, I'd say BK believes the manager should be the best paid employee at the club. He could have had a cheaper option in than Moyes for years.
