If he was called Vinny Perry, and had took his team to winning the league twice, and only losing twice in two years. I'd be absolutely fine with him being called whatever. And i'd still love for him to manage Everton.

To be fair Neil Lennon's record isn't too different to that is it.........and Lennon's Celtic beat Benfica in qualifying from the the Champion's League group stages.....

The longer this has gone on the more I'm totally against Martinez. IMO he would be a massive mistake. And I seriously don't trust him to spend a penny of our valuable pennies.

I'm not keen on vitor, just because I think he's quite a risk too but he has showed at Porto what he's capable of. He has the possibility of turning out great, where as I don't think Martinez has any chance of at best turning out average.

Martinez will be confirmed for what he is the moment he leaves Wigan and fails (again) at his next club. Most probably stoke!

Exactly mate I just hate to see him spending our precious money on Wigan players (and overpriced too!). I really doubt he has the network to scout players like Mirallas and Fer. Life sucks man this could happen.

Couldn't put it better myself!

Martinez had an okay run at Swansea after a nothing playing career.

He's media friendly and he fits the bill of a sexy modern footy manager.

He's got Wigan relegated after a number of seasons of dicking about on the last day or so to beat it. Yes they don't pay big wages and looked brilliant in spells in the odd match (Arsenal away season before last springs to mind) but they equally got absolutely tanked on numerous occasions. In summary it's a "nothing special" record in the league at Wigan.

But he won the FA Cup. That's it.

3 minutes and 22 seconds of bloody madness on a March day at Goodison park and he gets the job.

They murdered us for 90 mins. The goals were coming even at nil nil.

Sadly, many of us could see the loss coming before we even kicked off.

No im fairly sure hes a knob.

Okay what should he have done when he got the bullets and death threats? Or when he was attacked in the street etc? All this kicked off when he was a player and expressed a view relating to a united Ireland. That's it.

Should he have jibbed Scotland and ran away?

This season, we won 12 and lost 1 in the league at home and that was against Chelsea. The best home record for about 30 years. Yet, I do not understand why our players failed to preform on the day. Pressure I guess.

He could have tried to be less of a knob.
