This season, we won 12 and lost 1 in the league at home and that was against Chelsea. The best home record for about 30 years. Yet, I do not understand why our players failed to preform on the day. Pressure I guess.

Job of the manager to prepare players mentally. Look no further than ginge for blame with choking. See how long the manc hordes put up with that....10, 9, 8, 7......

They murdered us for 90 mins. The goals were coming even at nil nil. Sadly, many of us could see the loss coming before we even kicked off.

I disagree; Distin should have put us ahead after 4 minutes when he headed wide at an open goal. That match is irrelevant really, though; every team has one or two brilliant games a season no matter how bad they are, just as every top team has a couple of dreadful games in a season. Martinez's record overall is very poor, certainly not enough to get him the Everton job.

A club that finishes in 6th position in the best league in the world supposedly and we are talking of giving
The managers job to Martinez, who as just got his team relegated, just stop and ponder for a mo

Doesn't matter if he on a free, cos that should be why we want him. I'm not saying Martinez is proven but he ticks a lot of boxes for the board. Any manager will be a risk? I wouldn't mind VP but he still a massive risk, there must be proven managers around Europe, and pay the COMPO. VP and Martinez are the only managers I would take now out of all the names that been thrown into the hat.

So that's mean his appointment is best suits the board's needs then. I wonder if you are concerned with the problems we laid out in regards to Martinez's weaknesses. He, on the other hand, is a greater risk than VP (what VP's supporters think). One thing I agree is there are proven managers out there but as I have said, they cost money and won't come.

Of course:( Moyes was a perfect employee, they will want someone in the same mold.

It could be worse. We could be handing it to someone who's experience of managing amounts to handing out training bibs at Finch Farm.

One thing I've noticed is that every day when the Ebepton twitter account send out their tweet about the "What's in the Papers Today" thingy, they often mention the list of managers that are rumoured to be with us.

Not once have they mentioned Pereira's name in the tweet, even though they have regularly included articles about him...

Thereby, they are happy to leak jarg, but are trying not to advertise the fact that Vitor is currently polishing his sexy new Everton badge. It's on as feck.

Oh yeah. Is Right.

How do you know this though ? It's purely speculation on your behalf.. how do you know Davie Weir is not the new Alex Ferguson ??? he may have new, exciting , attacking ideas that Moyes refused to take on board...WITH THE SAME BUNCH OF PLAYERS ....... with probably the exception of Fellaini...... Personally I would like a proven manager but they were all unproven at one time.

That's how I feel. I'm hoping for Pereira, but I'll support whoever gets the job until it's clear that he isn't up to it.

If the players are happy with whoever's appointed, that'll do me. I can't see the board appointing someone the players have no confidence in., and I hope they'll have some say in it.
