That's how I feel. I'm hoping for Pereira, but I'll support whoever gets the job until it's clear that he isn't up to it.

If the players are happy with whoever's appointed, that'll do me. I can't see the board appointing someone the players have no confidence in., and I hope they'll have some say in it.

Our players won't have confidence in Martinez. Not a name that the players will be impressed with.

A club that finishes in 6th position in the best league in the world supposedly and we are talking of giving
The managers job to Martinez, who as just got his team relegated, just stop and ponder for a mo

Why ponder - just remember the football his team played in the quarter final v DM we could not get a kick of the ball they embarrassed us on that woeful day - Add to that his past record at Swansea - at the blues he would have a bigger following, a better defence, & he signs players & makes loads on money on them a good candidate in my eyes he did have 8 defenders injured this season, but his approach to the game is better than DM in my eyes he will succeed at a bigger club either us or Stoke!

This makes sense. He will have better players, He will think his transfer Kitty is massive. I want Vitor but I think Marty will be ok.

I dont see past these two. One will be our manager. I think Marty is stalling just to see if Vitor takes the job or not, if not he steps in, if so he is safe with Wigan.

Write off the internal managers, they would have happened by now.

Hurry up Mrs Pereina, say yes to the move.

But his Wigan record is absolutely dreadful. We can laid out a lot of reasons to prove that he isn't any good. One good game at Everton but they can't even beat those average PL teams at home. There are reasons why they are relegated. Injury is not an excuse and it is part of the game. And what approach don't tell me the so-called attacking football. It is a myth. And he is inept in the aspect of defending.

VP is only a coach - plays in a league that is dominated by 2 teams - not conversant with the premiership so more of a gamble, but as long as it i is him or Martinez I would be happy! My money is on Martinez as he knows the prem at Swansea & at Wigan - He has the knack of signing unknown players for a million or so & they look class & makes wigan a fortune ok he got relegated but so did Joe Royle with City when we got him so look at the history a 6 seasons & his Swansea days & look at the stars he created and had to sell at Wigan!

PL is a 3 teams league and yet Wigan are relegated. What's actually means "know the league"? Just because he has past PL experience? And you said "he has the knack of signing unknown players for a million or so & they look class & makes wigan a fortune ok". No he hadn't done that. I have said it along Wigan will lose great sh1t loads of money when they go down next season. It doesn't matter if Martinez may the 10 odd millions profit in the past. I give up. Are we so small time that we need to look at Martinez?

Agree with this, if we sell Felli and Rowbertow spent the cash on Macarthy and Mcmanaman and persuaded bill to cough up for a Top striker, Spanish maybe like Negredo then we would be looking pretty decent for next year. That's my back up being positive position, Vitor's the man!

The most important thing is his past records in the league have proved that Martinez is a failure. His team was lucky to stay up in his first season. If he is that good, Wigan would have finish in the 11th/12th position even a relatively small wages budget. Just like what Moyes have done to Everton for the past 11 years given we have no money.
