That maybe a smokescreen & Mirrors performance by BK so he can say he tried to get the Porto coach -ask yourself this if he had been interviewed why was it not highlighted on SSN like yesterday with Martinez? or maybe VP will be interviewed this weekend, & maybe makay & Lennon the schedule seems a bit tight but you never know with BK!

Because Dave Whelan is Martinez's chairman and it seems he likes to conduct his business live on SSN.

will be interesting to see if the likes of Makay or Lennon have to go through any media with their clubs announcing they've been given permission to speak to Bill.

You'd think for both it could mark the end of their days at Cardiff and Celtic. I know Makay took them up but there seems to be a bit of unrest with the owners. As for Celtic it would be very hard for Lennon to go back saying he was interested enough to look elsewhere.

People fume just for the sake of fuming nowadays. I've seen people fuming in this thread and calling for Bill's head just because of the names we're being linked with even though nothing had happened yet!!!

I think some people, especially of military background will genuinely give a toss about this though but I also think there is no way he would be appointed so I don't care.

Say what you like about our club but we always show class and dignity. Especially with our tributes last season.
Correct and that's the what set's us apart from other Clubs and long may it continue

Well my family will give a toss, being a family with strong Military connections, and also an Everton family
the thought of an Everton player or manager refusing to wear the Poppy fills me with dread
And I would expect Evertonians to voice their objections if this was to occur

If you start forcing people to wear them, they become meaningless.
Personally whilst I wear them, someone i've never met not wearing one wouldn't fill me with any kind of emotion.
Its not a mandetory requirement, its for those that want to wear them to do so with pride.
Not wearing one means nothing, wearing one means something.

Also he's nightmare character so its all irrelevent.

Perfectly put. I personally have never worn a poppy but have never voiced a comment in terms of my wife or young kids wearing them. As it happens this Woolwich business could well see me draw a line over the past and see me wear one this year.

I always wear a poppy but I don't take offence at those who don't

It's a personal choice

So long as the person in question were to decline in a respectful manner of course and not speak ill of those who do wish to wear one.

I certainly wouldn't use it as a criteria to pick a prospective manager for a football club though.

And we all know what the reason would be if Lennon was our manager don't we,sorry he can just stay away,
Like someone posted earlier,he would just split the fan base

So kenwright has said he wants to appoint the new manager before the weekend, when do we think it will be done then? today or tomorrow?
