i'd be pretty happy with clarke tbh, they've played some really nice stuff when i've watched them and tonked the RS 5-0 on agg with a much worse team than ours.

i really like jol as a person and a manager, but not good enough for us imo.

he did well with spurs, we could do better but if he comes i wouldnt be unhappy

I have been drumming martinez for a long time here but i have started to doubt it cause of the wigans upcoming euro challenge. would he come to goodison and leave wigan eventhough they would get relegated

How has no-one jumped on this opportunity yet? GOT is slacking :(

*Makes joke about Martinez' recent disposition/keeness to come to Everton*

Why do people keep suggesting people who were good players but have dodgy track records as managers?
Because those are the managers people have heard of? Most people don't know (or want to know) the names of the lower league managers (some of which are far more likely to be our new manager than any of these bigger names bandied about).

I'd be surprised if it was anyone aside from Martinez or a lower league manager. Actually no need to classify those two separately really.

You like to multi quote don't you?
I do! Great observation!

Steve Mclaren:o

I actually think this could be nailed on :

1) Former England manager.
2) Has won a domestic trophy at Boro and the Dutch title for Twente.
3) I think he'd keep the current backroom staff onboard...Round was his assistant at Boro.
4) No compensation required as he's out of a job.

This is it lads..I'm lumping on at Hills (25/1 with Skybet!!!)
