Do you mean when Donovan put Anichibe through to score against Villa away last season?

I've forgotten what a through ball looks like,
Donovan was brilliant without being spectacular, gave our right side something to work with.
Imagine him and Coleman now! Oh yeah.... Martinez is ****e, Wigan are ****e, and Pereira is sexy an all that jazz...

I'm no Kenwright apologist but i must say i'm pretty impressed with the names that's been mentioned as interviewees in the last few days. Even if Martinez gets the job (in which case i'd be slightly worried but would give him my support), i'd at least know he's interviewed some impressive candidates before making his decision

ive actually stopped following this thread religiously the last few days oddly enough, who has he 'interviewed'?

I'm expecting a league title win in his first year from all the hype he's receiving ;)

I wouldn't call it hype. His credentials can't be faulted and he's worked with top European footballers.

The alternatives are probably efficient and capable, but we want Everton to go to the next level and a lot of us see Everton
treading water, at best, with them.

Pereira may not do any better and could even do worse, but he's the exciting X-Factor, who just might get take us to
where we've been threatening to go under Moyes, but have lacked something.

My thought too. Happy with what seem to be the top 3 candidates and happy with the patience and diligence that seem to be occurring right now.

You know this could spark another round of Donovan rumours...... you're playing with fire Chico, fire!!

Very true. I think we've got quite a few talented younger lads on our books. We might even get McManaman back on a cheap deal too now wigan have gone down.

Yeah, we have a history of buying players we brought through the academy and let go.

Maybe bobby's second interview isnt a interview at all just a professional way to say thanks for applying we really appreciate it but we are going to go in another direction and the best of luck in your future career.... Then Pereira is announced with Ralph as director of football and elstone resigns over the badge debacle... Hey fantasy land but it is only early.... COYB

When Everton got permission to speak to Martinez I think we all thought he was no.1 target and that would be wrapped up. But I am amazed but impressed at the same time to see BK has interviewed 3 outstanding candidates. Vitor or Rangnick for me!!!

Rangnick is a classy shout, did a great job at Schalke. No idea how Bill knows about him, but the shortlist of 3 have surpassed most peoples expectations. DO ONE LENNON/HUGHES/MACKAY
