The last thing we needed was another fancy foreign name RR who claims to play pressing, attacking football to be thrown into the hat.

* cue overreaction that we must appoint him*

I think BK has done a pretty good job so far. I would be happy with any of the last 3 candidates if they are who we think they are.

All seem to play nice attacking football so maybe that is bill listening to the fans.

Do people forget the attacking football we played under moyes? We were hardly a un-attractive side or stoke!

Granted he mixed it up, didn't always play that way but looking at the stubbornness of some to play a certain way whatever the results at all costs....

Just saying like but IMO a clever manager can play diferent ways and adapt to given situations.

We're talking about when we have big games against the big clubs or games that need to be won, Moyes is sometimes cautious. But I agree we did play some nice football under Moyes.

What he did at Hoffenheim was pretty miraculous though

Was doing a good job at Schalke too until his breakdown (which in itself is something to be concerned about). When he was reappointed Schalke boss the board did say they were harsh to sack him in 2006. I think he would be a decent appointment. He's got a good philosophy which is similar to the likes of Loew and Wenger, and you can also credit him for getting Thomas Tuchel started in coaching. Also places a lot of faith in young players.

Absolutely and we are talking about a man who is well respected in the game which means he may have the ability to attract one or two players that could take us to the next level.

I must admit to not knowing much about Ragnarok

Thanks to some of the posts here

I'm not against him and he'd have my support if he came in

After reading some of the passionate responses on here though, I'm leaning towards Vitor

People on here have done a great job of selling him to me

Vitor or Lennon would be my two choices at the moment

Indeed. I would have thought he'd have a very good knowledge of the German youth player market.

If it's true he's being considered as DoF then he should be brought on board before a new head coach comes, so that he can have an input on who is appointed.

Talks**t just announced that evertons short list is down to 3, including Ralf, Vito, Martinez, Lennon and MacKay.

Says everything about them really
