I actually think the only way he could appoint neville without a massive backlash is appointing a big name director of football to run the side neville hasn't done before. So don't be surprised to see neville manager and Ralph DF unvilled together especially after the interview where he wanted a manager with Everton DNA

Neville doesnt have Everton DNA, I was never a Neville hater, but he was always and will always be a Manc.

Probably a reasonable possibility -but very depressing prospect. Still, at least the sun's out

If Moyes was gonna "do the right thing" I would have thought he would have done it by now.

Who knows tho, maybe hes waiting for Bill to appoint somebody or maybe he thinks he deserves his last little 300k.

Yeah it's just got to come to a point hasn't it? I mean as Everton manager is he really having nothing to do with Round, Irvine etc rocking up at Old Trafford?!

So, my view on whatever has happened:

Bill interviewed Vitor, which is his first choice (hence the invitation for Vitor to watch that game over the holiday period). In that interview, Pereira made clear that he isn't a manager in the English sence, as they don't do it that way over in Portugal. Bill agreed to go looking for a Director of Football, but interviewed Martinez in case he didn't find a suitable candidate for DoF.

Now that Ralfie is in the picture, and he wants to come, all is set for Vitor to arrive here.

Sounds alright to me. Don't think that's what'll happen, though.

You stole my theory! You're nothing but a theory stealer!

Surprised? I'd be friggin' astounded.

totally agree, never hated the fella but didn't like him being our club captain and don't want him in our management team with one eye on Old Trafford. I know it's probably RAWKesque paranoia but I can't shake the feeling that Alex Ferguson has had an unhealthy influence at Everton for a while.

IF we are seriously looking at a DoF role, could it be a way for Kenwright to ensure the stability he craves before he leaves his post? Using the DoF as a damper for any directorial changes, and ensuring as much stability as possible with the playing and coaching staff. effectively meaning that regardless of what happens, the head coach will always have a singular vision with his boss.

So, is it possible that at the end of the 2012/14 season, we Have Ralphy as DoF, Vitor as Head Coach, ad somebody else in the Directors box...............

Stop getting my hopes up you Vic-tease:o

I hope Bill's body and brain is attached to those legs.

Haha. It's nice to think Bill has received largely positive feedback from the forum regarding his potential short list.

I am aware that I have now put the mockers on this and we are going to appoint Tony Pulis!
