But would he wanna come seen as he's got European football next season? Also, how much compensation would Everton have to pay Swansea? Kenwright might not be interested in a manager who's under contract.

What about Felix Magath? Hard dictator type who's won Bundesligas with two clubs. He's also a free agent.

Okay, you're right. But Rooney was 9 years ago, and Rodwell wasn't exactly excelling was he? I mean he did well at the start, but we were all amazed when City signed him.

Yeah, the list of youth players he bought through is five. Rooney, Rodwell, Anichebe, Osman and Hibbert. Possibly Coleman but that's debateable.

And that's in 11 years. It's not great.

di matteo i would like uses a solid style

makes sense, as he's a free agent.

But did he win the Champs League or did his players? We wouldn't want Avram Grant but he led Chelsea to a Champs League final, losing only on penalties. The consensus was that he had little to do with it, it was the players who pushed on.

Grant's later West Ham appointment sort of proved it...

So in that respect, not sure if Di Matteo would be a good bet or not.

Felix Magath

He doesn't seem the sort of person who would leave Germany, hes played and managed there his whole life doubt he would change that now.

Compensation is the big problem, if you look at the free agent managers Di Matteo maybe the best on that list?
