To be honest I think we will get Martinez. Wigan will be relegated midweek ( I hope not as I like them ) He will then join us.

I've always been a fan but Fulham have nose dived recently, they've lost a few on the bounce. Makes me think does he have what it takes to turn a team around? I'm not sure.

That's soemthing worth bearing in mind, I think. Moyes had a great ability to get losing sides winning again, martinez does it too, to be fair to him, but when things went wrong for say di matteo at west brom, he just couldn't cope, they went into a spiral.

Completely agree on the MON thing and yes a foreign manager will know players from another league which of course can be a bonus and something we need with our low finances but you also need to be able to buy the home grown guys who can come in straight away ect. Moyes could do both.... Baines jags Coleman - needed a couple of years then bang quality British players. Gibson Cahill Distin - straight into the team and great, fellaini pienaar Arteta mirallas - foreign relatively in heard of but great buys.

Point being you need to be able to do both. One is no good without the other. Look at Newcastle this year.

Coleman's Irish, not British... Apart from that (y)

Moyes had never lost 2 on the bounce until last season, right?

I've just checked and Fulham haven't won a game since they narrowly beat QPR 3-2 at home on April 1st. Out of their 7 games since then they've only drawn one and lost the rest. That's horrific form. Maybe the fact that they weren't going to get relegated or reach Europe is a factor in that but Moyes would always want us to finish as high up the table as possible.

WOW, we need another manager with a record like this, was this record also apply to his Preston days as well?

It's not true, I can remember Moyes moaning about our tendency to win 5 games in a row, only to then lose 5 games in a row, earlier in his tenure.

What? We never lost 5 games in a row. I think when we did finally lose 2 in a row we actually lost 3. No way we ever lost 5 in a row under Moyes though.

I don't think it extends to his Preston days, I was just on about his Everton record.
