Only reason Poyet's odds have come down is that he is rumoured to be resigning, so the bookies are covering themselves in the unlikely event he has spoke to us. He wouldn't have.
 

I bet Alan Irvine must be kicking himself he left for PNE. If he'd have stayed on he'd have been a near certainty to take over this managers job. Blotted his copy book by going.

Doesn't him having front line experience make him a more viable option? His record with Preston was actually very similar to Moyes- taking them from relegation fodder to the play offs. I think the fans would be turned off if he got the job and he'd only make the long list at best. He's quite possible happier with academy football anyway.
 
So Fellaini will go to Chelsea instead and we all remember how Ted Rodgers' "pact" not to sign any Swansea players.
