Pereira is by far the best choice.

Only lost one league game in 2 seasons.

Likes attacking pressing football.

Admires creative players.

May bring some exciting Porto players with him.

Has connections in South America.

Has a winning attitude.

Is intelligent and great tactician.

Can help us press for champions league.

Martinez = relegation = loser.

Vote Pereira!

Cant really argue with that pal!. Haha. I wouldnt mind Martinez getting the job, but watching Benfica first half got me thinking about Pereira. This Benfica side is decent and Pereira's Porto as schooled them in the league for 2 years!. And like with everything you've mentioned about him above, especially the tactics, pressing and liking for flair players, is what attracts me most to him.

Erm...are you actually serious?

Yes. He has a brilliant record as a (young) manager. He's intelligent, articulate, and managed in major international competitions. Certainly a better bet than Martinez and has previously said he has 'unfinished business' at Everton. He's a likeable man and though I'd be concerned if he can handle the pace of the Prem as a manager, he has the pedigree.

have a read and tell me you'd prefer Ray Wilkins. Tell me it's not impressive.

When you say 'unfinished business' do you mean he's going to return the money he basically stole from us?

Think you need to look a little harder at his time with us.

He is not welcome.

so are we still getting the media puppy who shows no strength or guile as a manager that is martinez?

How did he steal anything? He was a classy defender and we signed him even though we had no manager. That's how good he was. It didn't work out cos of other ****ty signings and injuries. I hear people jump on a bandwagon saying he played a game after saying he's injured for Everton. I'm not the type to be influenced by childish hearsay. He is a class manager and I like his personality. He'd be great for Everton. And already knows Bill Kenwright and the club.

Vitor Pereira - “Portuguese people are strategic, with a huge work ethic. I am a tactical coach. I like my teams to have total control, of the ball, of the game. I like to see my teams pressing very aggressively, very high up the pitch. The important thing is the balance between the attacking and defensive elements, but pressing high is the best way to defend. We have had the best defence in Portugal for the last two years.”

“There are two parts to our job, One is to find the young players before other clubs do. And then the other part is to help develop them. We look in countries where players tend to have creativity in their game, and then the coach’s job here is to teach them the tactics, the organisation, that you need to thrive in Europe. The players who move on take most of the credit, but for the coaches it is proof that we are doing our job."

Sold, Sold, Sold!!! :D

martinez: ffs lads we just got beat 5-0 lads

lads: but we tried boss

martinez: well i suppose it wasnt 6-0 well done lads!!

SLAVEN BILIC yesterday put the boot into Everton chairman Peter Johnson for breaking promises on a pounds 15million Goodison revolution.

The unhappy Croatian World Cup defender accused Johnson of going back on his word over lavish plans to buy major stars.

Bilic said he was told Italians Dino Baggio and Pierluigi Casiraghi were on their way to turn Everton into one of Europe's elite.

Instead, meagre cheques were written out for the likes of Gareth Farrelly, John Oster, Carl Tiler, Mitch Ward, Don Hutchison and Tony Thomas - a total of pounds 4.25m that Bilic believes should have gone towards securing superstar signatures.

this is the type of man we need
