I was told that we have had agents looking at managers availability for us since before moyes left, we aren't going to appoint anyone from within, and if we where, it wouldn't be stubbs. He isn't even that highly rated as a coach at Everton. Apparently we are not going for a British manager also, so idk. Agents have suggested a few people to us but let's just see where it goes.

I'm surprised that people are surprised this could happen, its exactly the type of appointment BK would go for, I dont fancy it myself but i think there's a bit of snobbery towards Stubbs getting it, ex players get appointed to managerial positions all the time, Lennon went straight in at Celtic and his managerial career cant be judged yet cos he's working up in the farcical scottish league and he's currently the bookies favourite, Stubbs at least is currrently learning his trade in some format at the club.

I still think it's too early for him and maybe a number 2 position would be better but I still think he's being discarded out of hand simply cos he's not a very fashionable ex player - a lot of people on here would prefer Neville or Ferguson FFS

Look at our internal candidates though and the position we're in. There's no one who's sat alongside Moyes and got the experience from the names mentioned. The remit is to get someone to go to the next level. That's not served by appointing a vastly inexperienced man...whether that's Stubbs or whoever.

It'd just be cheap and the actions of a club hierarchy that's simply declared informally "we give up...maybe we'll get lucky, who knows".

It'll be a disgrace if one of those low level operators at FF (because that's all they are) get a post like this.

Who have the agents suggested?

Not highly rated but got the job as manager of our U21's?

It isn't exactly a coveted position (under 21 manager) he's an alright coach, but the likes of Weir, Ferguson are rated higher.

Pereira is booked on a flight into Liverpool on Monday.

He we be going on the Beatle Bus tour, Sinking on the Duck at Albert Dock, looking round St John's market, then ending up dancing in Flares. On Tuesday he will fly home.
