If Lennon gets the job I won't go over to a game during his reign.. Suppose it'll save the flight money from Dublin.how is his name even in frame...

Is there ever any evidence of this "promote from within" policy actually workimg?

Apart from the halycon days of the Boot Room at Anfield, I can't think of any.

It didn't work for us with Colin.....albeit it wasn't a disaster.

It didn't work when Man. United tried it with Wilf McGuinness after Busby.

Don Howe wasn't a raging success at Arsenal after Bertie Mee.

It is certainly not a road down which I wish to see the club travel.

Barcelona is the obvious example (Guardiola and now Villanova) but it rarely seems to work in England these days.

Most of the recent internal appointments in this country have been disasters. Ricky Sbragia, Tony Adams, Chris Hutchings and Gareth Southgate spring to mind.

Is this still the "nothing has happened and we are wildly speculating whilst picking holes in every potential manager" thread?
No this is high before discussion on the pros and cons of each manager both available and not, nobody ****ging anyone off, no random arguments, no wild speculation! Oh sorry wrong thread, yeah you're right it is!
