I was thinking Kenwrights comments might've actually been for that reason, to soften the blow of getting Martinez when a lot of people are unsure of him.

Interesting tweets between Neville and Joey Barton. Has he got it? He's all but admitted Bartons tweet that Neville will "be in a dugout very soon harrassing assistant referees" He then asks Barton if he fancies doing similar in a few years. He's definitely got something.

How do you derive from that -unless BK & DM are just putting a smokescreen up as it will be a an other with Stubbs as his assistant for his defensive knowledge - that would make sense but if it is two untried backroom staff a big big gamble it may all fall apart - DM should have no say in our new management set up as after today he is Man U through & through a big conflict of interest imo only lovie dovie BK can balls it up good style no compensation for DM & now this maybe??????

Because in Billy's over-effusive language being 'not that far away' is the same as saying 'good, but no cigar'. He knows there's no serious internal candidate for the top job at least. There's just no sense in taking a huge gamble. Maybe there's a game going on with Wigan to accept some form of compo but not a lot, who knows. Or maybe the Freedman rumour has legs and he's the 'type' with experience he'll look to?

I do recognize though that his desire to save cash makes an internal candidate still a danger.

Not really, i'd still go and watch us when i can, but season tickets cost a lot of money and at the end of the day i'm not going to pay for something i wouldnt be happy paying to see. I'll always get behind the new manager whatever it is, and i'm probably saying most of this because i'm annoyed, but i just couldn't be arsed keeping my season ticket when i can already imagine the football in my head, if we got someone from the inside.

Sorry mate. I don't agree.

Yes it looks like we're going to get some sh*te manager but is that the player fault? Nope.

They deserve our support. In fact probably more than ever if we have a crap manager.

Does it though? i don't want Martinez myself but like i said to someone else earlier, it's not a choice between JUST Martinez or an internal appointment, no one on the staff have any managerial experience especially not with a team challenging for top four / europe neigh on every season. I'd rather pay a few million taking someone like Tuchel, De boer or even get pereira on a FREE than get someone from our staff. This is our chance to push on and do something different, Moyes has built a good team and a steady backroom and kept us safe, but in 11 years we haven't won anything and our football hasn't been AMAZINGLY exciting. This is a massive chance for Everton and i do not want us to **** this up by putting someone as our manager who has no experience and will just follow in the moyes mould, just not as good as him.
I feel with Stubbs as his assistant that will be the continuity also save money on Round - that wigan manger has bought class players on the cheap - then the season after he just signs others for a few million we are a selling club so that would make sense - Stubbsy as a defensive advisor assistant would be ideal also!

Will always support the players and manager no matter who they are, but if i disagree with the appointment i dont see what's wrong with not renewing my ST.

To be fair Ijjy you don't go to the match at all... this guy spends £500+ a year just on the ticket. Don't think it's wrong to stop doing that if we show no desire to improve.

Ok fair point.

If I spent that much each season is still want a season ticket no matter who was manager.

i wouldnt give kenwright and the board 1 pence, the only way we could get rid of the phoney is mass protests and not buying any merchandise, they have kidded Evertonians for years, lie after lie to line there pockets.

he will earn millions out of our club, and what for.......treating us like ********s.
