Hello, New poster, Long time lurker here.

Anyway, A latic friend of mine mentioned the following to me and after a little digging, I also noticed a thread on a Wigan fan forum.

'Everton are due to hold a press conference on Tuesday with regards to the appointment of their new manager

The Liverpool Echo are planning to run with a story about the new manager on Monday on their website

Apparently compensation agreed with club and negotiations have been ongoing for at least one month'

Although it mentions no names, The lad who told me this is pretty sure it is martinez, and is usually pretty spot on with Wigan info, But when I asked him where he got this from, He refused to say, And just ended up tapping his nose saying 'Wait and See'.

He could be on a wind up, But thought I would post it here to see if anyone else has heard anything similar?
Could be anyone, by the sound of "Compensation" and "Negotiations" it's not someone internal.

I wish people would realise how lucky they are to have a season ticket.

I'd absolutely kill for one.

If anyone is giving there's away ill happily take it off you if you don't need it.

I'm in the same boat as you and have considered a season ticket many a time, it's not the actual cost of the ticket that concerns me its the cost of travelling all year that worries me.

I try to get to 5 homes a season and each time costs me between £150-£200 if I don't stay overnight.

...I think this is an important indicator. The odds have been up and down like a yo yo over the last few days, but when a favourite's odds firm up in this type of market it often means somebody knows something. As far as I'm concerned, I'm very much in the Martinez camp. It would be a massive gamble to put an untried insider in the hot seat.

I think Kenwright's words have spooked people about the internal candidate. TBH, and when you strip his actual comment away from the preceding journo bollocks, he's saying, in relation to those who he's seen so far, that they are 'not that far off'...which isn';t exactly a ringing endoresement of their ability to convince him of their case. We all know what a luvvie he is. If there was someone he could get behind he wouldn't be coming out with underwhelming, damned by faint praise comments like that about the new boss.
