@Tony_Scott11: "Everton interviewed Weir, Neville, Stubbs & Ferguson for the vacant managers role last week."

I am going to kill myself seriously, I hate Kenwright so f**king much.

That's what the Echo told us yesterday.

Now with the formalities out of the way, hopefully, we move onto the external candidates.

I don't believe this at all, it is more likely that they are interviewing with a view to a higher coaching role and a more prominent one within the club whilst discussing the incoming manager.

Are you going to give an inexperienced internal candidate more money to spend that your previous, decade serving manager?

Of course not.

Its all a bit uninspiring isn't it. When we got Moyes I think I was fairly happy about giving him a shot at it even though it was obviously a gamble because it was a big step up for him but im just not feeling very excited by anyone when I look at the favourites in the betting.

Are we now a club that wants to employ a manager with zero management experience? Really?

Might as well forfeit next season if that happens.

Can't see it.

I suspect the local hacks will have an inkling more than most. I reckon his conclusion wont be too far away.

"...they are a club with a platform from which to build in terms of players, and one which is expected to finish in the top six. The new manager should have Premier League experience, but not be saddled by baggage. He may well be shrewdly complemented by someone already on the coaching staff at Finch Farm.
Whoever gets the job, be it Martinez, Mackay, Pereira or someone completely missing from the bookies’ list, can’t be expected to achieve Moyes-esque minor miracles straight away. But they will be asked to do more than stabilise a drifting ship, which was the Scot’s first task back in 2002."

Employ a coach, who is clearly not good enough to follow Moyes to United..

But, is good enough to actually manage Everton...

Thanks Davie... I look forward to seeing you manage Celtic within the next 3 years...

Surely "saddled by baggage" would include relegation?

Thoughts ?

Why hire a Moyes lite? If we do, we're accepting that we've peaked.

At this rate I'd welcome even Martinez. At least he'll have a go, rather than ring up Gingerballs at half time to ask how we can defend our 0-0 scoreline.

If any of those become manager of a top 6 premier league club it will be a joke.

Can you imagine any other premier league club promoting from within in our position.

Hope that's wrong, I really do, but it's being mentioned too much now
