I have never understood this argument. How much more money do they have to spend than other teams outside the top 6?Free stadium means they have more money to spend than any other team outside of the "big" clubs, so they should be Europa League and looking at Champions League if teams slip up. Moyes doesn't look capable of that
They have to pay nothing in maintenance, and they get more than their rent back in rebate for stewarding. They pay rent and get the money from tickets. Not sure of the exact numbers but it can't be that much more money than the rest of us.
Certainly not enough to put them that far ahead of the rest of us. You think what an "average" player costs nowadays with wages.
