Moyes sacked by United

You can't win a league title by 11 points and be lucky. It's impossible. Ferguson used the talents of his squad correctly and went for pace and power and bullied sides - Moyes gutted the backroom staff and did his usually negative routine.

Every team have injuries, it just doesn't wash. Even when RVP has been fit Moyes has misused him, as is his wont with strikers all the bloody time. That defence you speak of won the league less than 12 months ago by 11 points, again, doesn't wash.

The sole difference at United from winning the league by 11 points and finishing what looks to be around 8th is David Moyes. If you'd trust him with £100m+, that's your business, but I'm very thankful you're not my investment manager!

Sorry - maybe I am just feeling sorry for Moyes - we are getting so much stick as he was the Manager of Everton. Each time something goes wrong all Man Utd fans say is, why is he turning Man Utd into Everton.

They pinched him from us (thank god), but it is not our fault he has not done well. If they had a great season, they would not be thanking Everton.

When I say Man Utd were lucky to win the league, I mean that City with the squad they had and defending champions just did not perform (but that is not Man Utd's fault). Also, this season RS, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and us and improved so much that it would not be easy for Man Utd to finish in the top 5 with that squad.

Wish the utterly pathetic journos would knock the 'Martinez to Utd' shouts on the head.

There's a million reasons why it won't happen and why it makes them all look like hypocritical, clueless tools.

This is what happens when you manage your ego instead of your team. He wen't for the big players as he wanted to be seen as a big time manager. He could have improved that team no end with just the Fellaini money.

Moyes getting sacked just reminds us that we will face massive pressure next season to finish even 5th. utd spending 200m coupled with a quality manager would make them a shoe in for a CL place.

Finishing 5th next season would be a much bigger achievement than this season, united and spurs will probably be a lot stronger next season.

In all honesty I think this season was our best chance at getting into the champions league
