Those players up top are still there

New manager will spend around 150m and they will be right back up there, Imagine Mata/Rooney/Kagawa/RVP playing well together

Well they cant really can they? Ace 5 aside though.

I know what I will do, I will get the biggest job in the country bounce in there and get rid of all the coaching staff that had just helped the club win there 20th title and replace them with Steve Round,Phil Neville and Jimmy Lumsden

Great move

Al lot was made of that but isn't that what all managers do?

who will touch him now? Certainly not a top club. Not even Villa or the barcodes I don't think.

Ah Davey. The grass isn't greener is it? It's like when a husband leaves his wife for another woman and then she bins him off after 6 months because he is boring as [Poor language removed], sh1t in bed and has got a small d1ck but a huge ego and he promised her a Ferrari but got her a clapped out Austin Allegro.

They should jump at the chance, but as I said earlier I think he'd be a fool to take one of those jobs, at least if he has any sort of ambition.

He needs to update/change his approach, and learn from how badly it all wrong.

Chairmen of the lesser clubs would have him in a heartbeat. His attributes suit them.

He isnt a bad manager, he is just not good enough for Utd, and took us as far as he could.

Sorry, Why is it a disgrace? Because it makes Ferguson look daft for selecting him or theat they gave him a 6 year contract?

Its both to be completely honest. Its disgraceful how they made him the 'chosen one' and convinced him that he has all the backing from the board which he had been saying all along and then allowing him to spend £60M on 2 players. They knew he didn't have a silverware filled CV or an attacking football mindset yet they when Fergie wanted him to fill the boots they agreed.

If they wanted to be a bit careful and not blindly trust Fergiw then they could've given him a 3 year deal. I haven't seen a 6 year contract cut short to 10 months. And boy, the lack of ethics in sacking him! Why were there reports of his sacking before it happening. You'd expect some class from such a club but I always knew they had none

Maybe managers who has been at the top end or someone who is bringing in backroom staff that have achieved something

Moyes shoud have kept the staff on there and eased his way into it, Instead he came in tore it up and decided to do it his way, Turned out well

Lets make no mistake here, the players have got him the sack, they aint been trying, they wanted him out and have got their wish.

He's been going in there week in week out and he knows there's a group of them whispering behind his back, once it gets like that the writing is on the wall.

If he'd been given the chance to get rid of them and bring in his own players he would have been a success at Utd, but he was never going to get that time, the players running to Fergies home to tell tales tells you what a bunch of [Poor language removed] they were.

I'd never ever have him back here, but I'm not going to stand by and say it's all him, it's 25% him, 75% the players.
No idea what basis you conclude that whatever success he had here was based on hard work and journeyman players he has absolutely zero credibility with top rank players which fits right in with your theory the players sussed him and wanted him out.

His methods don't win the big games/trophies.

Clough lasted 44 days at the then best team in the country, and he was the best manager in Europe by a country mile.

Once the players have it in for you then you are finished.

He would have had the backing of the board, I would say after the worst season in two decades and watching the current champions sitting in 7th place may have swayed them

Why does it matter if it's a 20 year contract or 2, He failed in every possible way in the job

He went into Leeds and told them there medals ment nothing as they had cheated winning them

Totally different situation, Clough took that job to show Revie up

Giggs,Rooney and the like must have thought they had gone back to the 1900's with his training methods

It is odd though, how it works out with Managers. Like Tony Pullis, currently a very well thought of Prem manager was an absolute disaster at Bristol City.
