These are comments from Rio Ferdinand, but seem fit in this thread:

"They will win because they have a good manager. Wayne Rooney is a good choice as captain. This is his 10th year, and he will be top scorer in the league this season.

"Obviously they need their best players fit. Last season Robin van Persie did not play much, but he could also be a top scorer."​

Couldn't be more wrong. David is an intense man at work. During his work so intense than yes he can be hard to approach.

But away from it he is a lovely, down to earth guy. No one I've met in football can testify against that.

Agreed. Read that Daily Mail article and can't help but be cynical now at everything he says.

The Leighton Baines comments were the final straw for me.

Maybe they do. "Especially now he's gone". Perhaps it's easy with the way David's career has gone that they are sticking the knife in. I know Roberto is always positive and a really nice, humble guy. I know everyone likes him. David can be insecure but that is because he strives for success. This time away from football will be great for him.
