Moyes to Sunderland

We were fine the first 20mins then got unfortunate with the opening goal then fell to pieces in typical Sunderland fashion after that

Pienaar would struggle in a over 40s blind league its sad to see a player who'd been quality down the years looks so bad

a aye mate he was like that last few times he played under Martinez. Came on as a sub against the RS when they demolished us at the pit and was blowing out of his arse after 5 minutes. Brilliant player back in the day, one of the very best for us in a long long time.

for whatever reason Moyes just hasn't got the set up right at home has he.

Boro? Well set up at the back, which is half the battle down there. 27 conceded all season is like a European place chasing stat.

They need to find a goal or two and they'll finish nearer mid-table than bottom three.
If Boro do go down it will be because they have too many draws. At some stage Karanka has to grasp the fact that draws aren't good enough if teams around you are picking up the odd win. He's too defensive minded.

Basically this, they are set up to gain a point in every match but if they concede there doesnt seem to be a plan B,saying that it looks like it could be a low number of points needed to stay up,its been a strange season so far, teams going 9/10 games unbeaten yet not really moving up the league and teams losing or dropping points dont get cut adrift

I can understand him not wanting to lose, and don't blame him for setting up defensively from the start to make sure they stay in the game. But he needs to start "going for it" for the last 20 minutes or so to try and turn 1 point into 3. At the moment, he seems content to take the draw. Over the last 10 games, Sunderland, Hull, Swansea and Bournemouth have all lost more games but picked up more points. If that trend continues then Boro will be relegated.

That's more to do with his misfiring star striker, Negredo. Imagine where we'd be if Lukaku was as erratic as he is?

I like Karanka. He knows how to get the job done. I reckon let loose on a better set of players he could do some damage in this division.

When the Dutchman slings his hook I'd like to see him on a managerial shortlist.

Tell you what mate you like to throw in the odd surprise don't you.

Karanka is the last person I thought you'd pick as our next manager. He set's his team up so defensively. Boro have the lowest number of goals, clear chances created, shots at goal and shots on target in the whole league. It's too easy to put the blame on a misfiring Negredo when the truth is the team are just not creating enough chances.

Don't get me wrong, I quite like Karanka. I like his honesty and his character, But I don't want him within a million miles of Goodison Park when, as you put it, the Dutchman slings his hook.

If Koeman had his stats this season Dave you'd have hired a hitman by now.

Moyes is staying up. Probably with one of the lowest ever safety points totals. I'll bet a week's wages on it.

Cant see it mate.

Not because they are hopeless, but cos Hull and Swansea look way improved. Palace, Leicester and Moyes I reckon.

Mind you, in 2 weeks that could look stupid.

He plays 4-2-3-1 and that depends on a striker being very good at slotting what chances are created, so the emphasis on Negredo IS warranted.

As I said in my post above regarding Karanka: if he was given a shot at managing top class players, tactically he is well up to the job and would make a big impression in the PL.

I've never seen Boro as a relegation outfit even though they're in the mix(ish) down there because they are so organised. It's teams who lose the plot that take the drop. Boro are just a purple patch from Negredo away from safety.

Why is it ironic?

Cos, er, some managers late of this parish didnt seem to be able to.

But anyrate, my fault for straying Off Topic.

He has impressed with his organised sides, but not sure noodling 1 point at this time of the season will be enough. Hope so mind. Like him, and Boro.

Dont be bloody stupid.

Why would we go from a born winner of a manager to a clown who hasnt even won a charity shield?

When Ronny K leaves we simply must continue to dine at the top table.
