He has the pedigree: played for Bilbao and Madrid, assistant to Mourinho at Madrid. He's only been managing three years and had Boro at the top end of the Championship twice and now he'll successfully I believe see Boro consolidate as a PL outfit.

If he does I think other clubs will look at him closely.

We should defo keep an eye on the fella they've put in charge of Belgium. Can't recall his name right now, but if he does well with them, we should seriously be looking at him as the next manager...

Ronny K is dining out on his playing career. He's defo tier two ( at very best) manager status.

If we had a billionaire....a real one who spends tons of cash, that is, not this one we have....you can be sure they wouldn't be stalking Southampton looking to head hunt a lad who was chuffed to bits to get 6th in this league.

Karanka was orchestrating a lot less talent than Koeman had at his disposal the other day but got the better of the Dutchman.

Mark my words, Karanka will land a top job one day.

Maybe. Anyrate, general question to folk. This thead has morphed into a general relegation one. No problems with that myself, sort of inevitable really.

So. A name change? Keep Moyes and general relegation natter in one place? Pretty interchangable really, using my Pub analogy.

As I said in my post above regarding Karanka: if he was given a shot at managing top class players, tactically he is well up to the job and would make a big impression in the PL.

I've never seen Boro as a relegation outfit even though they're in the mix(ish) down there because they are so organised. It's teams who lose the plot that take the drop. Boro are just a purple patch from Negredo away from safety.

Sorry Dave. You're making out that Negredo is missing a hatful of chances each week but thats just wrong. Boro dont create enough chances full stop and thats mainly down to the manager and how he sets them up.

I stand by my original assessment in that if they continue to draw games whilst those around them pick up the odd win, then they'll be relegated.

You champion a manager who's been in the game for 17 years and won nothing other than a Johan Cruyff Shield and the Spanish Cup, but you call a manager into the third year of his journey who's taken some pony outfit like Boro and made them a PL team a mutant.

Well organised, plays footy on the deck. He'll be at a very good club soon. I just hope it's Everton.

Champions League.

Your Dutch lad gets a nose bleed just thinking about winning stuff like that.
