Moyes to Sunderland

I hear much worse comments than what Moyes said on a daily basis at work, not just from men either! I think the PC crew need to get a grip of reality, have they ever been outside of their houses? Dunno if people remember the film 'demolition man'? I sometimes think that's the world vision these idiots have!

I keep expecting the news to break that this no mark one man disaster zone has been sacked.

How on earth has he avoided it? Has he got Ellis Short's compromising photos or what?

To be fair, the 'furore' over the comment is laughable.

I work in Primary Education which is dominated by women and there must be around 20% of teachers who are male - if that.

I make - and take - comments like that on a daily basis with colleagues and nobody bats an eyelid.

None of us are actually threatening battery and assualt and we're mature enough adults to understand that.

It's ridiculous.

Not that convinced that Short has actually noticed Dave! Could be a Leeds/Random Sheffield club level of future for Sland imo.

It beggars belief. I know there's parachute payments, but a fat lot of good that's done Villa and Norwich. They stand to lose hundreds of millions over the next few seasons. Presumably Short wants a reasonable price for Sunderland? How could he not just bin Moyes and get someone like Pardew in?

It's unfathomable.

I think this sums up the Sunderland situation nicely....

Moyes would never commit that many forwards

Same way he couldn't find a few mil to get in any players under retirement age to help keep them up. He's a terrible owner that makes Kenwright look like one of footballs greatest, and seems completely oblivious to what's going on.

They have mega debts as well dont they? @Sunderland afc @Albertini78

Or loans from Short or something. How has that happened? They built the ground ages ago, dont exactly spend like a drunk sailor on players either. Get really good gates.

K'in nuts.

I haven't seen a manager so abject to failure as moyes this season. He just seemed to have never had his hopes up from day one and it's a little depressing to see. Can't imagine what it is like to be a fan!

I'm a big fan of what Moyes did for us, but since he left he has utterly lost any will to succeed or take any responsibility for his mistakes, its very poor from him and like you say the negativity in his press comments when he first arrived didn't even seem there to insight more spend, just a statement of fact that they were rubbish and likely to go down. Very odd.

From what i have read on Sunderland forums the amount ranges from £120m upto £150m a lot of which has been passed onto to credit companies that are charging a fair amount of interest
They average around £7.5m per season on transfers, which makes them around 6/7th highest, take into account they dont seem to make a profit through sales and you can see where the problems are
