Moyes to Sunderland

The fact that it happened weeks ago and it only hits the headlines now is a bit suspicious.

If they lose the next two games they are all but down and if they could get him out using "gross misconduct " it'd save them a fortune rather than sacking him.

Either way him and el Coco will soon be applying for the likes of the Rotherham job in League one.
I said this to your Bitteratti colleague last night: why on earth is #worldcupbobby supposedly scraping around for jobs with miserable Yorkshire outfits when he's in charge of one of the most talented squad of players on the planet and heading to Moscow for the greatest show on earth?

they haven't scored in two months! jesus. I know it sounds weird, but sunderland probably needed this relegation, they've been going absolutely nowhere for years, surviving by the skin of their teeth each time. At least now, they can go down and get their players used to winning games again, because they've been going about 4 or 5 years now and won i'd say a total of about 30 league games only in that time

It's 40 league wins since the beginning of the 2012-13 season. 9, 10, 7, 9, and 5 this season.

Everton's only been that low once this century (9 in 2003-04). Even Walter Smith managed more wins than that in his seasons in charge.

40 wins in 5 seasons, that's no entertainment for their fans. Most of those have come late on in the season as well as a bulk, it is best to go down and re-build i think.

As for Gary Linker, the guy is a self righteous, sanctimonious, egotistical bell of the highest possible order. One of the most unlikable people in modern football, absolutely no need for him to stick the boot into somebody when their down.

Glad to stay level headed like because you know, if you lost perspective, some would say it 'Sums up everything wrong with modern society, the world faces massive problems that will effect the entire planet but some stupid idiots are genuinely upset because Moyes made a feeble joke/banter comment at some journalist!'

I understand were your coming from mate but I'm afraid I disagree. Moyes shouldn't have watch want he says regardless of if he's in the public eye or not. This issue highlights another example of freedom of speech being quashed because an elite clique of idiots are offended on all our behalf. People should be free to say whatever they want (we can all work out what is appropriate and inappropriate without an elite clique telling us). Moyes said absolutely nothing wrong, he talked like a normal person rather then a politically correct robot. It's an indictment of modern society that this issue is even new worthy.

'elite clique' - I'm praying you don't actually think like this. Also, you know no one has stopped him from saying what he wanted. As highlighted by the fact he said what he wanted.

He's been made to apologise for a comment that nobody with a shred of common sense would of taken seriously or taken offence at. It's absolutely ridiculous. Who is offended by what Moyes said?! Seriously, have they never had a conversation outside their politically correct bubble? He clearly can't say what he wants without fear of repercussions that could potentially end with him getting the sack.

He said he apologised off his own back. This is quite the rant you've gone on there. Getting yourself worked up over very little. I think you may have brought your own agenda on 'political correctness' into it

You see your talking nonsense really aren't you? You say I'm on a rant but you've no idea how if I'm ranting or annoyed or anything because your just looking at words on a screen. Let me make myself clear, I'm giving my opinion on a public forum. Not getting myself 'worked up' or any other silly descriptions you want to give it.

This is quite clearly political correctness at work again. It's a non issue that has made national news, he's had to publicly explain himself for making a perfectly innocent (if poor) joke. You have fools sitting on their high horses denouncing Moyes for nothing.

Is he still there?

Lol.

Every day must be like waking up to a kick in the nuts for Sunderland fans.

A decent man would walk out and give them a chance.
