Moyes to Sunderland

Last season Alardyce took 36 points in the 28 games he managed them for after taking over; Moyes has taken 15 points in 22 games this season.
What you're failing to mention Dave or choosing to ignore, is that their squad has been heavily depleted and the board are not supporting him.

Injured or on international duty are Pickford, Koné, Manquillo, McNair, Watmore, Rodwell, Ndong, Khazri, Pienaar, Kirchoff and Cattermole.

And that doesn't paint the full picture as they've also had numerous other key players who've been injured throughout the season.

Fat Sam was offered reasonable amount of funds in both the Summer and January window, whereas Moyes has been given at most the dregs.

Don't get me wrong, I think Moyes is starting to crumble and his persona is worrying but it's not fair to compare the two situations.

As @Prevenger17 mentioned, it's a pretty thankless task he's been given with the meagre support he's provided so it'll be a struggle to survive.

Although if their fortunes change with regards to the squad and having some money to sign much needed additions then he may just do it.

Perhaps however, as I've mentioned previously, relegation may be in the long-term a God-send as it will break the cycle they've been in as of late.

There is NO excuses for sitting at the bottom of the table cut adrift from the rest of the PL after even a dinosaur like Alardyce picked up 36 points from 28 games last season.

Moyes is cracking up. The last two games he's stated that if he was a S'land fan he'd walk out on the team; yesterday he said that they're a few points away from being in a good position.

He's a terrible manager. I cant see him being employed in the top flight again. He;s destined for a Championship club and then League One or Celtic.

I think they'd be mental to let him go at this stage. Let him at least do what he does best and spend the tiny budget wisely.

He made a career out of turning around crap form at Everton by wheeling and dealing in January. I won't be remotely surprised if he does it again this season.

Mitigating circumstance: a circumstance that does not exonerate, but reduces either the penalty or level of blame associated with the offence.

All the previous managers recently under Moyes got them out of trouble. He's taking them down.

I just feel sorry for the S'land supporters. They are stuck with Moyes....where have I heard that before?
