MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

Why shouldn't he bid for our players though?

I'm not saying he shouldn't, or that anyone can stop them. The difference I see is that Whelan openly and repeatedly invited bids for his players from Everton after the Martinez move was confirmed, whereas Kenwright said bids for our players would not be welcomed from Man Utd despite his past relationship with Moyes. I think Bill was kidding himself though if he really thought Man Utd and their new manager would take any notice!

Why shouldn't he bid for our players though?

The only problem I have with it is that we were paying Moyes wages at the time, whilst it techinically makes no difference, it annoys on a personal level that under our employ, he's trying to sign players for his new job from us.

Overall though it makes no difference between doing it now or yesterday, its just a principle thing.

Not just 'another club's manager' - the Moyesiah. The man who thinks we're special.

Football's just a business though. It's *right* That he acts like a **** and tries to asset strip us on the dirt cheap. In fact iot's been described in this thread as admirable.

I do wish people would stop trying to minimize what this turd is doing here.

So because he used to manage us you think he should be 'nice' to us?

Would you expect him to play a weakened side against us? Perhaps we should play a weakened side against him?

Moyes fan or not, happy or not, I think its time to put away the petty inuslting generalisations about the rest of the fan base, or the personalised attacks and come together and start enjoying the next era.
Moyes has now officially gone, Baines is officially still here and so is Martinez (sort of). Lets just move on and start the new era together instead of divided.
Some think Moyes did well, some think he didn't, some think he s**t on us, some don't, that's okay, it makes the place tick, but the hostility between fans over Moyes is noticable over the last few months, and since overall it no longers matters because he's no longer here, let's move on and cheer up.
Oh for some actual football to talk about instead.

As i said before, how do you know this ?

Don't think Either United or Moyes were that bothered about a months wages here or there.

And the fact that Everton have not complained about one thing in this whole process, means that some sort of arrangement has been reached.

Then he should just reject whatever bids come. What's the big deal ?

You are making it sound like Moyes put Baines in his car and drove off forcefully.

You've gone from

- Moyes has no chance of the Man Utd job
- Moyes has only got the United job as he is a puppet for Ferguson and wont have control of anything himself
to;
- Moyes is directly responsible for the timing and exact amount of every bid for players that Man Utd make.

Stop embarassing yourself mate. It was bad enough when you were adamant that Weir was our new manager

I agree to an extent

I just can't stand the double standard

Well said. I was hoping that Martinez would announce his backroom team today, and maybe even confirm Alcaraz, so we'd be able to start July by looking forward. It's halfway done, with Everton confirming the backroom departures this morning, so maybe there's still time to announce the new staff this afternoon. The Echo reckons Alcaraz won't be signed until next Monday, which surprised me as you'd think he'd want to be here for the first day of pre-season on Wednesday.

You really do just ignore everything that doesn't fit in to your agenda.

Probably want to save the weeks wages.

It's more the fact that he's insulted us by offering £12m that is p*ssing people off. If a bid like that came in for Baines whilst he was Everton manager, he'd have found it laughable
