MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

Oh FFS. Steven Pienaar could turn and boot one into his own net and some people would still blame Kenwright.

Maybe he could've dealt with Moyes the situation better but he can't help who United bid for.

Not from his position on field, can't kick it that far,on a serious note a Kenwright let him run contract down.

He had no alternative. If he'd sacked him it would have been wrongful dismissal and Moyes would have gotten the money anyway plus more on top.

Very true, Mr. B.

Very true.

What he could have done, however, is withdrawn the contract offer and maintained some dignity for EFC.

He could have said that if Moyes didn't sign by, for argument sake, February 28th all deals were off and Moyes could have been put on gardening leave.

This whole thing could and should have been handled differently.

Can we go back, this is the moment
Tonight is the night, we’ll fight till it’s over
So we put our hands up like the ceiling can’t hold us
Like the ceiling can’t hold us

That is just plain silly. Moyes was perfectly within his right to run his contract down. It is part of having a contract. What you proposed there is paying two people to do a single job, one of which would then be on holiday. And we don't have the coin to do that.

As for Moyes making bids for our players. There is no reason he should be exempt from making bids for our players. It is a 'free' market, and anyone can bid for anyone.

When at Everton he did his best to protect our players from other bids, and he did his best to recruit the best he could afford.

Now he's at United and he's doing the same for his new employers.

Where's the contradiction in that?

Whilst I'm livid over it, he can't be blamed for wanting the best LB in Europe (IMO) in his squad.

Are you more arsed about the possibility of Baines leaving, or the fact that it's Moyes bidding? Because that's exactly what it boils down to at the end of the day. Yes, he's a bit of a tit for sanctioning it whilst he's still on our wage bill. But equally, he owes us no allegiance.

I was one of Moyes' biggest fans, but he's moved on. So should we.
