MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

Think you're missing the point we never won anything under Moyes and the attitude in this piece backs up what many could see - he never had the balls. It's a struggle to remember going down with a fight in the cups let alone taking the game by the scruff a la Wigan against us and City.

It's right to move on but he's expected to speak now and unfortunately a lot relates directly to us (thought he was going to TAKE one of my players!!!!!) and it doesn't make good reading. People are lining up to say if Martinez doesn't achieve this that or the other by bonfire night he should be thrown on the pyre - where was this accountability when Moyes displayed this shrinking violet approach when it mattered?

He was handsomely paid to the best for this club not the best for himself - wiping our hands of him as he confirms why he should have gone years ago isn't gonna be an overnight thing for those pissed he was allowed to indulge his mediocrity for so long.

"bitter blues" now which cnts invented that little homily? - damn sure evertonians I know don't use it.

...as many like you are also missing the point. The biggest club in the country and arguably the world came calling and he left. Problem? I was ready for Moyes to leave but more to do with the tactics and negative football...not because he "played our club." That's frankly insulting and I guaranteed that "many Evertonians" don't feel that way about David Moyes.

The guy had his faults but "gone years ago?"

Your having a laugh.

Some will never get bored of being outraged at Moyes for whatever reason, I'm expecting these threads to continue well into the season and beyond.
Hopefully football starting soon will help some of the anti's finally move on.

Exactly.

This thread almost proves the bitter blues moniker.

If I were a kopite, this would easily be the stick to bash Evertonians with.

As for moving on, they can hike it back to Kipper with these ****e attitudes.

not arsed about moyes now he's gone think we got more things to worry about than wot he said in a rag to suck up to his new employers

It's funny how all the comments sucking up to our club by our new manager are deemed great comments and the fact he's "saying the right things", simlar from moyes is deemed as belittling us!

The latest is because he thought fergie wanted to just take one of our players??? Are you people for real???
If utd really want a player...Yes they can pretty much just take them from all but a couple of clubs. As you'll probably soon see with baines and we saw last year with RVP.

Moyes gave his all, did his best, moved us forward massively, represented the club fantastically and bought into everything EFC. Then got offered the biggest job in England, arguably Europe and took it, clearly is exited about it and as all new managers at new clubs have to do is talking up his new club....

Time to move on lads, get over it....
It's Roberto time!! And if all goes well get yourselves ready for a few years down the line when exactly the same happens if barca come calling for RM.

For the record, I think had we got new owners sorted with financial backing to challange at the top moyes would of never gone anywhere!

People are looking for excuses to get mad at moyes. They feel rejected and need to vilify him in order to help themselves move on. I'm hoping it's going to pass soon because these threads are getting boring, but I fear it'll just continue until the season starts.

thats actually very well said.

Hopefully trash talk towards him ends.

Loving our new manager already.

No, it really isn't well said at all. Interesting points have been put forward about Moyes. Just because it's in the past doesn't make those points any less valid or relevant.

Seriously, some people on this forum won't be happy until everyone ends up like this guy:

Half of the people who are so utterly disgusted at Moyes' conduct are the very same people who were ready to boot him out after every defensive sub or bottled cup-game.
Behaving like an insecure girl* who dumped her boy just to see him come out of it with an overwhelmingly more attractive new girlfriend, and her flaws become quite clear to see.
As far as I could see, in the 11 years Moyes spent with us he put 100% of his energy into Everton Football Club. He batted his eyelids at no other club and did a fantastic job for us, short of winning us any silverware. He's gone to United, which is the hardest job in world football as far as I'm concerned, and he's going to have to win over those fans very very quickly. As such it doesn't shock me that he'll be trying to regale them with stories of him and Fergie to build up a bit of a mythology. I sincerely wish him the best of luck. I would love him to come out of this as the great manager everyone always said he would be 'had he had the resources available to him'.

*albeit one with magnificent history, brilliant culture, and excellent fans :)

Either you are trying to be awkward or you genuinely don't see the issue.

This is a thread on an Everton forum on the topic of Moyes conduct in leaving.

That interview with the Daily Telegraph is terrible reading for any Everton fan. I am perfectly aware United are a huge club but at the same time they are our rivals. With the sycophantic mentality Moyes obviously had for United (and presumably all the other 'big' clubs) then it is no wonder we bottled every single big match.

It's not even about Moyes not being a fan like us and therefore we should expect him to be very clinical with job moves. Did Moyes ever really believe he could harness a great little squad and storm up the league? Or like his captain Neville was it always a case of "top 10 is a great achievement" etc.

Our Principles and etiquette has been shot to pieces here. Ferguson summoned Moyes and informed him the United board has selected him? Get to **** you arrogant b*******. It shoots a hole in all Moyes bull**** re new contracts never mind United making an illegal approach.

This isn't about being "bitter" and right now I am far happier with Martinez but other Blues shouldn't be so insulting to their fellow fans when most of us are simply angry with what's come out in the wash.

I can't wait now for Moyes to fall flat on his face at Old Trafford. This time next year he'll be at somewhere like FC Twente in Holland doing a Steve McClaren job to try and salvage a reputation

Don't you see it as sucking up to his new fans rather than having a dig at his old ones though? I think some on here are just a little too precious at times and can't handle it when someone says something which can be construed as referring to "Plucky little Everton"

Exactly.

Arrives at Everton and comes out with "The People's Club" and immediately is accepted by one and all.
PNE fans cry that their recent manager has the audacity to put his allegiances with his current employers fully.
Moves on to MU and comes out with an anecdote on how he is Fergie's chosen one.
Wins the approval and acceptance of many MU fans.
There is absolutely nothing untowards about his behaviour as far as I'm concerned.

These very same people who are hysterically crucifying Moyes for not caring about Everton will be deaf come later this season and he sings the praises of his time at Goodison prior to the first MUFC v EFC game.
Some Blues just need a panto villain to have a sense of purpose. Sad that for many this has to now be Moyes.

Its not so much what he's saying....that just proves his lack of class...its the contradictions in the time scale of the appointment...and the fact that it was all about Fergie and Moyes. You don't summon another manager round for dinner to tell him he's got your job. YOU APPROACH THE MANAGERS CLUB . Bill was either genuinely surprised, or knew before Moyes went for his nosh at Fergies.

It comes down to the mindset of each individual supporter.

Maybe for some it doesn't matter that the manager of Everton was given an invitation to the home and expected to be told that we were losing one of our players, the way that it was phrased is what really annoys me.
If he said that he had been invited because SAF wanted to try to sign one of our players and wanted to discuss if he were for sale and at what price then that was perfectly acceptable and correct.

If you cannot see how it made Everton look like a small time operation compared to the mighty Utd who simply decided what players they wanted and when.

In my opinon it is more insulting than anything Rafael ever said about this....and while on the subject of Liverpool ,can you imagine their supporters reaction (rightly so) if their manager painted a similar scenario as Moyes painted.

I don't believe that any insult was intended, but it didn't reflect well on Everton.

Haha what a comical rant!

Maybe the word "bitter" hurts because the RS say it about us, but that rant is pure bitterness towards moyes leaving and your opinion that he bottled it against the big clubs and thought of us as little...or something along those lines.

Maybe the truth hurts about how far we'v fallen as a big club since the eighties, that's not moyes fault, its the boards!

It's all just a big to do about nothing from some IMO. Jumping on every word he says as a digg at us. Using every fault he had as manager in his time here as "well it's because he thought we were small time"

So no I really don't get it. Moyes has done nothing wrong in leaving or what he's done or said since leaving IMO.

You wanna question his tactics whilst in charge of us, his record in big games, his substitutions etc fair enough, everybody has an opinion. Ultimately his style probably cost us a cup and more wins away at the big 4 but also his style had us up the top end of the table for 10yrs. We certainly didn't fall short because he felt we were a small club, which none of the comments he's made even imply anyway unless your really looking to find ANYTHING you can to have a pop!

He's gone, he can say what he wants I don't care. More interested in what Roberto has to say now. Lets hope he doesn't belittle Wigan by claiming he's at a new big club.

Moyes is professional. He has changed his mindset totally now. I dont think he wants to screw us up or something like that. It's business and he has new conserns now, Everton fans are not among those 99 problems.
I was a bit suprised that he came after Baines like that, though.

I hope Martinez kicks his bum when reds come to Goodison.

But any rational fan knows exactly what was ment by those words. If you find out that utd want one of your players you know your probably up against it to keep hold of him. That's all he said was that maybe he wanted one of my players. For fans to read into that as I've been summoned to fergie's to be TOLD he's HAVING one of my players and I must report back to bill to finalise the deal is just pure paranoia, insecurity, inferior complex dogs poo!
