It seems they are seeking to raise funds from investors. So they are essentially middle men.
They quite publicly state that their capital doesn’t come from third party investors or banks mate.

I think the idea would be for 777 to do a full takeover from what I’ve seen.Yes because so far it isn't a full takeover. It could limit the worth of the other 50% they own. If 777 wants to buy all of Moshiri's shares then that is a different kettle of fish.

Who are they raising funds from?
Themselves allegedly.

It looks like they want external funders to me.
That sounds like the blueprint for a basic Ponzi scheme lolThe supposition is that 777 have some money and move it around their different business's to show they have funds - but collectively amongst all their investments they dont.
It may not be a problem for them to show the PL they have some money and sign the guarantee, but if its ever needed to meet costs - it might not be there. Im not sure the PL has the jurisdiction to question that if the money is in the bank from a legitimate source - they might not be able to ask so this is how you would fund Everton if it got in to trouble, but if that the case how are you funding Genoa.
?
It says the exact opposite mate.
I'm probably being really stupid, but they are trying to raise funds.
Who are they trying to raise funds from? They are a PE firm, right?
They are but raise funds from themselves from profits they’ve made, according to themselves.
Do we know did they raise funds for their other football clubs?
They certainly align well with your beliefsI hope Cahills Qatar buddies swoop in
What the hell is that you sanctinonious bellendtry harderThey certainly align well with your beliefs
I think this would be an unusual business model for a PE firm, and also for one within sports, where you dont typically get a reliable cash flow.
That seems to be the issue with them, everything they get involved with they promise money then can never pay up when they need to. Rules have changed here now and they would have to show they have cold hard cash to the PL before they could invest and from what I can see they can't do that and have failed when they have had to show cash at other clubs and in other sports they are involved. The PL is very much the top of the pack and the only way I could see it is if they teamed up with a rich benefactor from somewhere else. Its one of the primary concerns I'm flagging mate - raising the capital, the source of that capital, the method and the ability to fund the transaction and post any transaction to buy the club how to they intend to fund the stadium and club.
Like i say, have they raised funds externally for any of their other transactions in Sport.............
