The supposition is that 777 have some money and move it around their different business's to show they have funds - but collectively amongst all their investments they dont.

It may not be a problem for them to show the PL they have some money and sign the guarantee, but if its ever needed to meet costs - it might not be there. Im not sure the PL has the jurisdiction to question that if the money is in the bank from a legitimate source - they might not be able to ask so this is how you would fund Everton if it got in to trouble, but if that the case how are you funding Genoa.
That sounds like the blueprint for a basic Ponzi scheme lol

I think this would be an unusual business model for a PE firm, and also for one within sports, where you dont typically get a reliable cash flow.

Its one of the primary concerns I'm flagging mate - raising the capital, the source of that capital, the method and the ability to fund the transaction and post any transaction to buy the club how to they intend to fund the stadium and club.

Like i say, have they raised funds externally for any of their other transactions in Sport.............

That seems to be the issue with them, everything they get involved with they promise money then can never pay up when they need to. Rules have changed here now and they would have to show they have cold hard cash to the PL before they could invest and from what I can see they can't do that and have failed when they have had to show cash at other clubs and in other sports they are involved. The PL is very much the top of the pack and the only way I could see it is if they teamed up with a rich benefactor from somewhere else.

Thats the thing mate. One of the accusations is they have money at play, they just move it around different business around the world to show they have the funds, but never really invest. They will need £250 mill for the initial transaction - if reports are to believed, so that money will change hands. How they intend to fund the BMD and the club is a different story because both need investment.

As Cather was saying, usually these firms raise capital through investors then manage the investment by managing the club and adding value, before selling on. There is no evidence of that with these lads - no one really knows where the capital is coming from, who is backing them (if anyone), while they have a poor history of going missing when the cash call comes in.

People need not to be fooled here, Moshiri is an awful owner, on the transaction proposed he's lost £600 million - if managed right that was £600 million that could have benefited Everton. But it is absolutely possible to go from a bad owner in Moshiri to a worse one in 777. People are tired and just want change - that change could be worse - change for change sake is a very bad thing and things can get worse.

Make no mistake Moshiri at this point does not care a jot about what the next owner does at Everton football club and we as fans have to understand that - his only concern now is getting of the hook for the stadium funding and getting as much back on his investment as possible - he will absolutely sell to a worse owner if it means he will maximise his take out of Everton.
