Not if they have proper board representation/influence, have the gumption and are prepared to speak out if they don't like what they see...... the current board have NEVER spoken out because they have either been fully responsible and/or are entirely complicit. No-one has to be subservient!

The only other issue is whether they have the expertise and funding to not only reverse the current mess but to fully elevate us.... or just package us for the next sale to someone who can by completing the stadium, adding some commercial know-how and financial stability.

We don't just need someone to complete the build, we also need someone to replace the glaring gap in the financial model left by USM departure from the naming rights option. Without that, the ongoing debt could still be crippling.
speak out if they don't like what they see ???? You mean like when they spoke out about Rafael but Moshiri just did what he wanted anyway, you can speak out all you like but when the owner runs the club how he wants and does what he feels is right for him, the board have no chance.
Ask Brands, see what he thinks about having the gumption and speaking out to Farhad, its a waste of time.

Also... "the ongoing debt could still be crippling" yeah Farhad has landed us with crippling debt, something it has been reported put 777 off.

He may have been contractually obliged as part of his original take-over, and/or only been partially interested since, perhaps even only acting as USMs representative for all we know. All that was part of Kenwright's due diligence. However, our failings and decline as a club also long predate Moshiri's involvement. I'm not arguing that he has done a good job at all.... he obviously wanted little or no involvement having only attended a handful of games, but no-one can argue that he(or his backer) hasn't provided funds.

Moshiri has given us BMD and tbh we should be grateful. He provided Bill & DBB with all the funding they could possibly want and they have screwed it up…look to the board, the management, the players, but Moshiri is way down the list of those I would blame……..

So you don't blame the man who has gone through countless managers, three directors of football, had 2 relegation fights back to back on his watch, taken advice from people like Kia, allowed Usmanov to.put money through Evertons books, seen FFP restrictions come on his watch, never turns up to watch us and talks absolute nonsense live on Talk Sport to.Jim White?

Brands said nothing when in his position and was never a major shareholder..... in anycase the damage was already done before he arrived. He was brought in to try to salvage the mess left by his predecessor and managers all fully sanctioned by our chairman. Kenwright has said nothing.... even regarding Benitez.
You're also ignoring the massive debt Moshiri had to pay off when he came in and the recapitalised debt. The bulk of the debt will be the stadium.... a stadium we could've had 20yrs ago for practically nothing, only for Kenwright!

He did not come in as some super football executive with an in depth knowledge of the club. He gave the existing management funding, and funding to an extent we could only have dreamt about. We can now see before our eyes a stadium being built that many believed would never happen. Yes he’s made mistakes but Bill and DBB, our Chairman and our CEO, are the ones who have screwed this up……..

You've just described Kenwright's recent tenure... and seem blissfully unaware! Of course you're not tho!

and you don't blame the Chairman of the board responsible for most day to day issues? Moshiri is mostly absent from proceedings, and he gets hit with that brush, turning up for the occasional embarrassing interview, but he is absent mostly, and has charged others to make good decisions which he was no doubt convinced they were capable of by your employer
Yes Moshiri deserves blame but it isn't an either/or issue, and he has given more than Kenwright has so he's down the list for me too

This is what worries me, if this MSP deal is all Moshiri is working towards we have a major problem. It sounds like he is strangling us, wont let it go, we need someone to come in with real influence and vision, not just another weak standing opinion in the board room
Yes, but there are other factors at play which imo would justify a reluctance on MSP's part to proceed further, I'm surprised with the threat of relegation and FFP penalties hovering over us that this is got as far as it seemingly has. Lets hope at least that relegation is no longer a concern on Sunday evening, for this season at least.

Yeah the timing is odd, this time next week the club could be in a very different place then it is now, and 25% of a championship club with our squad is a world away from one that has another stint in the top flight. The whole thing cojld be a smoke screen
