Done to us???

Pumped a shedload of money, which other ppl at the club have wasted.

In the middle of building a big shiny stadium on the banks of the Royal Mersey

Yeah he made mistake but he also done a lot of good. Just for some insane reason he kept completely incompetent people in charge of the club

That is the rub, happen did not know any better though.

For all his failings and there have been many, the legacy he will leave is massive. That stadium is an opportunity for us to become a 21st century club.

No guarantees of course but it sets us up to be if someone has the vision to fully take advantage. Without it we would have sunk lower for sure and the gap between them lot and us would have been mammoth, we have something of our own that is the equal if not better than them now.

We also had Ancelotti and James and although it was short lived and semi ruined by covid, least we did have it.

What’s the point of a brand new stadium if we still can’t get it right on the pitch. Revenue stream yes but what’s the point of extra money if we can’t attract the players anyway stadium was the least of our worries, what are you comparing us to Liverpool? We’re a million miles behind them and having a new stadium doesn’t close that gap I actually don’t care how Liverpool do I just want us to do well and be entertaining when I pay my money to go and watch or give up a family day to watch an away game on the tele. Not sure how the stadiums going to stop us from sinking any lower than we have done in last few years, only thing I will remember about moshiri is he was a billionaire something we’ve been crying out for years for and he unbelievably messed up and sent us backwards.

You answered your own question there. Extra revenue streams that if spent wisely lead to better assets on the pitch, which leads to better results, which leads to more revenue and better players and on it continues until the upward cycle naturally comes to an end.

Things won't always be like this so you have to invest in the future. If we stayed at Goodison it would have made it harder to improve. You'd rather have £2000 a month than £1000, it's just basics.

Why I'm comparing them to us is because young Evertonians need hope and some bit of pride in the club they support. We can't beat them on the pitch but we will have something they can't get laughed at.

Yes I get the extra revenue but like I said we’ve had millions wasted we’re a complete mess of a club who wants to come to us? So regardless of what money we generate we won’t attract any good players the stadium won’t attract them we need to get it right on the pitch, and Anfield is looking good so I’m sure they will be quite happy rebuilding stands while looking at their trophy cabinet.

We're 90 minutes away from potentially being a Championship club but the stadium gives us a chance to be a 21st century club? HAHAHA

Your opening is spot on.
Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Derby, Wigan, Reading, Southampton, all new stadiums, to do what? Decline.
Leicester possible exception but even long term not looking good.
Arsenal too, title winning sides in the new stadium? None

As I mentioned earlier, this rut is temporary. Sort the FFP charge against us, change the board, balance the budget so in a few years we get the headroom for better signings, spend our money in a better way, start finishing higher in the league year on year. This may only be midtable but then you've gone a few years without negative headlines, without chopping and changing managers to be able to build a proper squad.

Do that players will want to come again.

As opposed to blue gravel and years of not spending anything. We were unravelling anyway, why do our supporters see just staying in the PL as success? Yes all well and nice if we are competing but Leicester have had 4 relegations since we last won a trophy and yet they've picked up 5 pots in that time. Who would you rather be?

Years of not spending, you mean like the last window under Farhad or last summer when we only had 1.8m to spend.

Anyway, MSP, I hope they buy us quick, as right now under Farhad every day we get further away from the club he bought, in the wrong direction

I would guess there are a couple of deals being discussed and whatever happens on Sunday will decide which one is the deal to go forward.
Yeah maybe a couple of deals from the same people? Hopefully yeah, something has to happen quick, Sunday night could be great relief, but in the following days if there is no movement that joy will soon wear off.
