Then when there is little investment in the squad over the years and the reality dawns on the fanbase of what US ownership consists of the protests will start up but the media will pat us on the heed and say "what more do you want you wanted new ownership/board".

Unless a proper buyer pops up out the blue we're snookered with these Yanks.

This is not a major concern. If you have a few billion, it’s incredible easy to make millions per year with low risk. Turning a sports organisation upside down and shaking it about to see what falls out of its pockets would be lunacy and a terrible way to park your millions. These sorts of investors aren’t ploughing money into a PL team to then try and make profit by selling shirts, tickets or even players. They will do well to get our accounting profit close to break-even.

They make their money because even clubs standing completely still increase in value year on year. We literally just need to hover around mid table and our value increases, and they are happy. A real risk is lack of cash investment (assuming P&S restrictions stop being a factor), because why would they want to spend £100mill to go from 12th to 10th? Would make very little impact on the value of the club. You are then relying on vanity because they need to show they improve the sporting performance of their investments.

We just need them to come in, help provide cash for the stadium, ideally kick Mosh and his “backers” into the background to remove the cloud over the club, but realistically rely on DofF and manager to increase on pitch performance, which then attracts better players, which then increases player sale profits, which allows more spending on players, and the cycle continues.

Lets have it right, MSP is NOT buying us and it isn`t a takeover.

They are investing the money to finish BMD in return for places on the board and ultimately shares in the club. It is more of a secured loan on part of the club and we will be paying interest....

Also the money they are putting in does not affect our P&S (FFP) positively or negatively, I`ve heard a few mistruths in the fanbase to that affect.

Can't see how it'll impact on FFP if the funds are going into the stadium. Not entirely convinced about these lot. They saved McLaren from going under the rest of the portfolio is a big bang average. If it's a marketing/commercial director can't be any worse can it so a small win. Either way the 3 bells will still be here

Exactly this Moshiri will still be the by far the biggest shareholder and ultimately has all the say at Everton despite who actually goes on the board.

Our best chance would have been with a takeover and a whole new owner and board..... this is bad news for us, just more debts until turned to shares.

Most likely that MSP would be buying as a holding exercise until the Stadium is complete and we get to mid-table.

Moshiri will be selling up in the medium term and MSP want in on that sale.

Exactly. The idea that we can be "asset stripped" is hilarious and only peddled by people who don't know what assets are. The only way to make a good profit is to improve our performance on and off the field. Exactly the opposite of what has happened under the current shower.
