Unfortunately I fear the worst with these, they do claim to be turn around specialists / have an MO for taking under performing entities and maximising their potential which sounds good but I’m not aware of any fairy tales where they’ve got involved mind.
The other thing is what is our potential without significant investment?
Simply running a tight ship isn’t going to get us anywhere, leveraging history and putting City levels of investment in could turn a few hundred $mill into a few $bill, but not sure they have the appetite for that.
I think that all of us have to reset expectations.

MSP are an investment vehicle - investors will want a return in the short to medium term. I expect them to run us tightly and take us to a point where we an attractive asset to be sold on.

It’s the next owners after MSP that will be the most important for us.

I'd welcome that as the current owner has overseen nothing but regression

If it's that simple, you can bet they'll do exactly that. It's in their interests to get the biggest return possible in the shortest amount of time. Sadly I don't think this is the case (or even possible) anymore.
Unfortunately, apparently it isn’t - as Mosh has discovered.
However I do find it hard to see we could have two consecutive owners who are quite as incompetent as Mosh has been.
Maybe he’s the Thaksin Shinawatra to MSP’s Sheikh Mansour, albeit on a substantially smaller scale unfortunately.
At least we might be run with a degree of professionalism.

Even if super-rich owners who were prepared to splash the cash came in, it would be a long time before that money could be put to good use because of just how pathetic our commercial performance is - we're making huge losses with a bang average squad as it is - and that's with the massive player sales we've seen recently.

The best we can hope for is MSP come in, get us run properly, sort out our terrible commercial performance, and then sell us on to owners who are prepared to plough in the cash.

And how long are MSP going to hold onto us for ?

Glazers/FSG/Kroenke are in it for the long haul I see no reason whilst MSP wont be also.

The question is will the Goodison faithful be happy for midtable football and limited spend after years of steak under Moshiri in terms of investment ?

I think we both know the answer to that one !!

Not really mate, as we saw with USM and Newcastle are about to do, increasing commerical income is very easy if you have "friends" who are willing.

Usmanov literally gave us 35m just to enter a bid.

Its not that easy tho - Leicester won a League Title & FA Cup and look at their finances. How do you see EFC doing this without massive investment on quality players to jump up the table ?

City/Newcastle are the only way forward - artificially inflation of sponsers hence why we need to hold firm with Moshiri until a mega power comes sniffing or someone with rich friends like Mosh/Uz who can do similiar.

And what nation state and/or multi-billionare is bidding for us right now?

This is my point - we can't achieve what you're describing until the club is in a better state on and off the pitch. No nation state is going to buy a club that was one great Jordan Pickford save away from relegation and potentially administration.
