I have no opinion on DBB. I understand her primary remit is the stadium and that appears to be progressing well.

My problem is with Kenwright. He’s the ever-present, pivotal figure during our decades of decline, and he’s an obvious egomaniac and gas lighter. He needs kicking in to touch, he’s obviously the rotten apple of the bunch.

Moshiri has brought the money and got a stadium build through which he deserves credit for. But he’s definitely been very poorly advised and the recruitment of senior advisors is hugely questionable.

I don’t have a problem with Moshiri carrying on as long as he’s not involved in football decisions, and sacks off Kenwright. If investors came in who reshaped the Board with more business acumen and had the clout to oppose Moshiri, I think he’d just appear as a fairly straightforward benefactor.

I don’t know what Sharp brings to the Board. I’d personally make him redundant.

Colin Chong is doing the stadium. I’m sure DBB has more important things to worry about

Peter Johnson caused a lot of problems, we were broke when Bill Kenwright took over. Wasn't until we sold Rooney we were anywhere near stable. Then it was a policy of selling a player every year.

But then there's the Kings Dock, Tescodrome, never capitalising on Europa League, Champions League, FA Cup finals, being top 5-7 for years. Spurs landed a champions league spot in 09/10 after finishing behind us the previous 2 seasons then went from strength to strength for example.

Spent decades trying to find the "right buyer" and never did while countless other clubs got brought out/investment...then sold to Moshiri and hangs around while it sinks.

He got lucky with letting Moyes run the club while everyone else at the club just played it safe. Cos it's clear he can't actually run a football club on and off the pitch

The issue I see is many fans just want to "win" the battle against the board even if it means letting the devil into the backyard.

The current board are gone regardless at this stage even if Moshiri didn't move on their positions are untenable - I'm more concerned with who takes over as if its a US investment Group like MSP or 777 then we may as well accept that we're going nowhere as a club anytime soon lets be honest with ourselves.

Maybe some have been beaten down that much by Kenwright that they'll accept that but I'm starved of success and want to see good times !
Mate Newcastle signed 3 good players and went 4, it’s not about spending it never has been, it’s about getting the recruitment right.

We had Moshiri who spent 700 million and we are worse off.

Brighton lost 4 1st team players(their record signing had to retire) plus their manager plus 4 back room staff plus the DOF and yet They had the best season in their history… why? Spent billions… no…they had a plan and got their recruitment spot on

Agreed on recruitment but Newcastle spent over £60 millions on a CF.

Even when our FFP problems are no longer you'll not see EFC spend £60m on one player under MSP or 777.

Newcastle can be guilty of wasting money also - £45m on Gordon but they'll not worry as their owners will just dope their revenues this summer with dodgy sponser deals whereas for us it would be a big hit on the books.

we can’t carry on with this board simples

I get the need for optimism and all that but as many have said the club need to give us reasons for optimism.

A US group with a portfolio of clubs that do nothing / have little investment in them spending 6 months haggling over a minority stake in the club headed by a guy notorious for being very tight with the purse strings just screams Kenwright era MRKII but with more savvy people behind the scenes.

Good owners for a Bournemouth or Palace type club who just want PL survival every season. Club like ours they'll never be supported long term imo - the fans will inevitably want more.
U do realise they are taking over, not a minority sake , there getting over 50% of the shares

So, the prevailing opinion is that anything is better than what we’ve got right now.

ok, I get that, and I probably agree that by the law of averages it would be hard to get worse.
But not impossible.
And we as a fan base Ned to be really vigalent that we’re not being sold down the rive…again.

That could only happen by investing large capital into the club and turn us into a european side.

They dont have the money/means to avert FFP to compete with the top 6 + Newcastle and even Villa. On top of that you have Brighton etc.
You have no idea what FFP or P&L is clearly…Everton CANNOT spend money not because we are skint but because we ARNT allowed… if Jeff Bozo and Elon Musk bought us they still couldn’t spend anymore money then MSP could

I mean, until we hear from MSP theres not much we can say really.

Newcastle arnt as rich as you think, they are owned by an investment group, the same investment group that owns 100s of other things, the group may have billions but it’s not Newcastles

Yes now but thats not going to be the situation in 2-3 years from now yet MSP will still own us then.

No there an investment group, they fix us and the flog us for massive profit as I said 2-3 billion after spending 600 million, the clubs value will double overnight when we go in to the stadium
