We're supposed to have 20m+ for Lukaku on the table so 4m for Besic suddenly becomes a big deal. Let's see how it pans out before jumping to conclusions, we'll know if we're getting Lukaku soon, possibly by next week

Well then I suggest he get off a football board of directors then

All he's doing is taking up space at the moment

Isnt that what every single member of the board is doing?

Not 1 of them has invested a single penny and your saying somebody with only an 8% share should stick all his money into something he has no interest in just to prop up a gang of people he doesnt like on a business or personal level?

Well why is he even there if he doesn't like them?

He's holding out for a pay day when he's put nothing in to deserve it

If he cleared the debt he could use it to gain popular opinion in an effort to gain control and oust the people he doesn't like

But no, he's sitting on his billions, making it harder for the club to be sold in the process, and will pocket handsomely when the club is actually sold

Fuming here

Sod him

Hang on mate...the only person making it hard for the club to be sold is kenwright...and thats because the club isnt for sale.

Looking for investment isnt selling the club! Looking for investment is trying to remain in charge while the club spends someone elses money and bill stands there in front of us all and takes the plaudits! Thats why no one is interested

Quite rightly...nobody wants to fund Kenwrights trainset. But he used to stand in the boys pen - and the trained actor can muster a tear at the right time! Shocker!!!

Then I kindly suggest he shove off and make way for someone who will put money into the club

This man should be a pariah

Literally sick that he has all that money and yet the club is still riddled with debt

It makes me physically angry

But kenwright doesn't? Are you for real mate? Maybe if we wasn't in debt, which grows bigger and bigger under kenwright we would have actual money to spend. The granchesters have been around longer than you and I.

4m is nothing money.

We spent 3m on Stones in the hope he would make it, he looks a good player and it sounds like Bobby was scouting him pre-WC, when he signs, 4m is gonna seem like a steal, with the attributes he has, I dont consider it even a risk.
But isn't this the same for every other team though. Especially those massive clubs with a bottomless pit of cash. If the 4m is a steal, im concerned bigger teams are not sniffing around, such is this lads potential.

Things don't work like that. Like at all.

isnt that 'business' kenwright needed money, he provided it..why shouldnt he expect a return on it? he has 'risked' his money after all

Not sure why we are debating the money that the board have. this is a minimum championship level transfer fee that we are pulling our hair out over here. Its so typically everton. I think it shows the desperation inflicted on the fans after years of selling the best assetts and negative net spends.

Lets be straight on our transfers since last september, we have sold our best midfielder ,our 2 top strikers and got a high earner off the books and 2 squad players (fellaini jelavic anichebe heitinga vellios guaye ) 40+ million in the bank and 200k+ a week in wages saved , and the only real replacement in that time is a 33 year old on a free.
Im not surprised bill was chomping at the bit to sign bobby up longer term.

With the lack of anything on squad building , hearing osman say crocked injuries will be like new signings and how we they are gunning for champions league on top of the besic no show ....its only tuesday and im pretty fed up with it all tbh this week .

Please mr martinez , just start improving the squad !
