Wasnt the mccarthy deal happening throughout the day ? But fellaini only popped up in the last few hours ?

May be wrong but im surethats how it happened.

Realistically we were waiting to sell fellaini to fund james McCarthy's deal. In fact i read one source saying the price of him depended on how much we got for fellaini but could be nonsense, or true. who knows?

Fellaini paid for 2 loan fees and a player basically.

You could say this about most of our team though.

Why weren't those clubs in for: Mirallas, Stones, Arteta (when we bought him), Cahill, Baines...even McCarthy.

Sometimes the monied clubs don't get it right, or aren't willing to take a chance. And £4 million is pretty close to nothing money at this point.

No

4 million isn't nothing here mate. Never was or will be either.

So was the barry loan not fellaini's replacement ? I got that wrong then perhaps.
Even so , if we add mcarthy to the 33 year old free its still not a great equation we are left with.
Patience is a virtue I guess but its very easy to panic as an evertonian at times. Simple things always go wrong it seems.

No.

It is.

If it isn't, we need to shut up shop and go to the Championship. Simple things like inflation. And footballer prices/wages are inflating very quickly. We can't change the market, we have to move with it. £4 million is simply peanuts in top flight football for an intended first teamer. The alternative is to pick up the likes of Joe Cole on a free.

'ere lads FFS the match doesn't kick off until next month. Chillout Bobby knows what he is doing he has got to get some new brown brogues first and then will sort new players out. Just trust him.

When you read that last line ...... life doesnt seem too bad again all of a sudden lol

Joe Cole on a free probably picked up £3m signing on fee. He got £5m when the RS signed him on a 'free'.

£4m is peanuts, should just pay it up front and be done with it.

If the hold ups between his current club and his former club why should we pay more money for him? His current club have supposedly accepted our offer, there now trying to negotiate how much his original club recieve not the deal Everton have offered them.
