If a big if we cant cough up £4m at one go then it doesn't look like we have £20m plus to spend then hence why no bids been made for lukaku then considering his supposed to be our number one target.

Here's a thought, why not wait and see how it pans out before making daft statements that are based on nothing but impatience and twitter......
Oh, I'm not upset.

Not even a little. I was just making the point that £4 million isn't a load of money in today's market. I honestly don't know enough about this kid to know if I should care if we sign him. I do expect we spend money by the end of the window. If we don't, then pitchforks, until then, meh.

4 million should be peanuts, i agree but to our club it isn't. We have to sell before we buy a player for any substantial value.
I agree that has historically been the case, rightly or wrongly.
However, with the changing financial situation (both of the club and the league in general) there is NO reason to think that it should be the case this summer.

...and you know this how?

Was Bobby hoping that a handful of magic beans or £2 a week on the drip, was going to suffice when he clearly stated he wanted the lad back the other day?

You let the board off easily with this.

We should have a positive net spend of more than £25 million this summer. If £4 million is too much this summer, we should be marching in the streets and rioting until the board sell up.

By expecting that £4 million is too much, you assist to create the malaise that these are just the way that things are, Everton innit, and nothing changes.

£4 million IS peanuts to any Premier League team for a first teamer (please note, I'm not expecting us to start spending wildly every summer, nor do I think that it is a wise course of action to do so). If they fail to see it that way, then they are destined not to be a Premier League team for long.

25 million.

I'm expecting more than that. We have an extra 30m from the TV money and 20m from players sales plus our wage bill is much lower than before.

Screw the excuse of paying down the debt. They always use that and it goes nowhere. Same with the new stadium.

You're 'expecting' Everton to have a bigger net spend than £25m?!
