But isn't this the same for every other team though. Especially those massive clubs with a bottomless pit of cash. If the 4m is a steal, im concerned bigger teams are not sniffing around, such is this lads potential.

Moneys no object, they can just watch how he performs for us and then if hes any good they would just buy him for 20m.

Its like saying why didnt Real just buy Bale from Southampton instead of waiting 3 years and paying 80m

Not sure why we are debating the money that the board have. this is a minimum championship level transfer fee that we are pulling our hair out over here. Its so typically everton. I think it shows the desperation inflicted on the fans after years of selling the best assetts and negative net spends.

Lets be straight on our transfers since last september, we have sold our best midfielder ,our 2 top strikers and got a high earner off the books and 2 squad players (fellaini jelavic anichebe heitinga vellios guaye ) 40+ million in the bank and 200k+ a week in wages saved , and the only real replacement in that time is a 33 year old on a free.
Im not surprised bill was chomping at the bit to sign bobby up longer term.

With the lack of anything on squad building , hearing osman say crocked injuries will be like new signings and how we they are gunning for champions league on top of the besic no show ....its only tuesday and im pretty fed up with it all tbh this week .

Please mr martinez , just start improving the squad !

You could say this about most of our team though.

Why weren't those clubs in for: Mirallas, Stones, Arteta (when we bought him), Cahill, Baines...even McCarthy.

Sometimes the monied clubs don't get it right, or aren't willing to take a chance. And £4 million is pretty close to nothing money at this point.

Mccarthy was before and not dependant on the sale of any other player. Or a replacement for any of those players.

I use you as an example so no offence lol

but this is the other attitude of fans. The believe everything you hear version. Now nothing wrong with that and each to their own.

But overall this is why the board has done everything it does and has done over the years (without going down the rabbit hole lol)

And it is why Kenwright is the face of the club and not the evil baron tying his managers up onto the railway tracks every transfer window.

Wasnt the mccarthy deal happening throughout the day ? But fellaini only popped up in the last few hours ?

May be wrong but im surethats how it happened.

No offence taken .
