He's the next Heitinga. A tough man who isn't actually tough, whose distinctly average and will cause more opposition goals than ours.

He's only 8 months older than Lukaku so based on that premise any criticism relating to fundamental football skills is inadmissable due to age in a court of "you are rubish at football" law.

All talk of him not being good enough should be replaced by comments suggesting that he is a "Beast" and we should see stats regarding the fact that only Aguero and Neymar had more tattoos at 21.

Apart from the silly back heel to let Chelsea score I cannot see what he has done wrong. He is growing into the premier league very well. He doesn't shy from the ball and wants it at every opportunity (that is something McCarthy doesn't do). He is always looking for space to receive and he is actually looking for forward passes and attempts them if they are on. He switches play very well and against Swansea he was the outlet for players who were running into brick walls. He will only get better when he is more accustomed to the pace. Already looks a steal at 4m. He is perfect cover for Barry and McCarthy and I think is already at the level to step in to give either of them a break.

Brilliant player think he should knock the backheels on the head though like in games where were not 2 goals or more up! The chelsea one went astray as we all know and one nearly did against swansea on saturday. We cant be conceding from silly mistakes too often if we wish to achieve something this season.

I think it's going to be a while before he settles in fully and he will probably turn out to be the type who's true value doesn't turn up on the stat sheets in terms of goals and assists, but I'm confident within the next year or two he'll be talked about as one of the better CMs in the league.

I sat near the biggest Besic haters in Goodison on Saturday. Everything he did, he did wrong. In their eyes anyway.

....I liked the signing because I liked what I saw in the World Cup and also feedback from watchers of his previous club. Nothing I've seen has made me change that view.

I don't know if he's a hard case or not but I see a player with talent and a real will to win. Winners have a commitment to the cause and in his case that manifests itself in challenges, apparently he trains the same. It takes all types to make a team and his type is a most definite ingredient.

56m plus Bale and we can talk Carlo.

So just 56m then, seeing a Bale is still in his back pocket?

Is there examples of this? Not disagreeing, I'm just curious.
