I thought he was decent. If you put his entrance into the game in the larger context: Alcarez comes off; Hibbert has his kit off and is ready to come on and then Bobby puts Besic on instead. Really odd move and yet defensively we continued to look just as solid. Personally, I was very nervous when Antolin got his injury: we have basically lost all our starting CBs apart from Jags: Stones, Alcarez, Distin (for whatever reason). Like Barry and McCarthy, it's the unremarked things that Besic did this time that impressed me (as opposed to the showboat that blew up in his face against Chelsea). Think that the hyperbole in both directions is beneath the general level of analysis of this forum and I'm looking forward to hearing more insight into the details of what folks liked and didn't like about his performance. As opposed to an in-joke pissing contest.

I think he has done well when he has played, looks very confident and is still a young age and new to the league, always looks for a forward positive pass and i have noticed he does try and drive forward which is good. The lad will only improve and i'm very happy to have him at the club.
