He needs time to adapt to the Premiership. The intencity, physicallity and pace is much higher compared to all other European Leagues. Does have the potential to become a very important player for us though.

I have come to the conclusion that Besic and Barkley are both suffering from a similar trait. It's the decision making thing.
With Besic the only option is the most difficult option. That explains every moment being a heart-in-mouth moment.
So far as Barkley goes, it seems like his game is upside down, driving with the ball when he should be laying it off, and slowing play down when either driving with the ball or picking the pressing pass is best.

He did all right today, but he seems to make one or two basic errors which give the opposition a goalscoring chance every game. But he's young and making a huge step up from Hungary to premier league in one of the most tactically demanding positions on the field. Far to early to crucify him, but he still has some way to go if he wants to become a regular

He was the least of our worries yesterday. Barry, Distin and Howard were all worse than him and in turn, all three cost us goals yesterday.

The lad had just started his Everton career. His young and needs experience. He is playing in probably the most competitive league in the wold (not the best!) and some really 'intelligent' people are on here criticising him. Look at what he has done so far in his short career. He has made some poor mistakes but no more than our experienced captain and his fellow centre half. However he has shown passion, ball control, a range of passing, a love of tackling, a confidence of trying to go forward and play positively. Now now ye haters should absorb my analysis and reflect on yer mistakes. peace out

OMG did he said hes slow , Besic slow . Well, what planet are u from ? From Hungary to Everton just in a few games , hes playig like he come from let say strong league i dont see fear , hes not hiding , hes young ,wtf u want fron 6 7 games mate ?! Did not look afraid but he lack awernes how fast are players here and how easy u can make mistake , needs more game that is all. For me Martinez should put Besic on Erikson all game and that is all Spurs have . But Barry , well if you will call somebody slow and [Poor language removed] from that game it was him , Colman waste to much free space (Besic find him with those five yards pass if five yards is half of pitch 5 or 6 time alone) but did not have many options in midle us well, And i dont't get start Eto if u do not play 442. We need body's in field today , did not track back a lot and Besic was couple of times alone in front of defense and Distin who had bad one .Hate when game is won we like all players and when we lose some players are not for this league let alone Everton and just 3 days ago he had best game for Everton , [Poor language removed] that be a fan.
