Sad really that the site of him receiving the ball under pressure and calmly keeping it like a top european midfielder is such a rarely seen site at Goodison in amongst the panic merchants who pass back straight away.

In the midfield world of the prem, personality, physical aggression and force of will can go along way to determining the outcome. Besic gives off the impression that he believes he's always the top midfielder on the pitch. That's an attitude a lot of our other players would do well to adopt.
