I know but if he signed tomorrow, he'd be 4th choice midfielder. Barry's age isn't gonna catch up with him for a bit, he was never a pace player, and finger's crossed Gibson injuries are behind him, (they're not). We're looking good for midfield options tho, much better than we were at the end of the window 3 years ago, Osman, Fellaini and Neville lol

It was a bold move to wear the 17 after the legend Tim Cahill, but besic is fast making it his. As bad a start as possible against Chelsea, but if he continues to step up and grow, he is another legend in the making, and ready to wear the 17.

He reminds me of the 'evil' kid in a Disney movie
The bully with the snide looks and all...
Puts his whole heart and body in to every game he plays that's for sure, am a fan

He asked a kid what his favourite number was and he chose that.

2) Besic helps Everton respond to critics
Roberto Martínez attributed Everton’s necessary improvement against Manchester City in the Premier League and West Ham United in the FA Cup to the fact that “every individual in the dressing room is taking the lead”. There is no doubt that Everton have responded to criticism of their organisation and willingness to fight since the dreadful league defeat at Hull City, although they head into Tuesday’s Cup replay with West Ham without a win in six matches, and playing to Romelu Lukaku’s strengths has assisted the tentative recovery. But the contribution of Muhamed Besic should not be overlooked. The 22-year-old made only his ninth start in the Premier League on Saturday and endured a difficult first half against the champions but never hid and ultimately flourished in the central midfield contest against Fernandinho and Fernando. Everton have struggled without the injured James McCarthy this season but Besic, a £4m signing from Ferencvaros in the summer, more than compensated for his absence against City. “He is a character who is an out-and-out Everton player,” said Martínez. “He is still developing and working but sometimes you forget he is only 22. When you have the bravery and want to do the right things it is impressive. I love those sort of characters – reliable. You can build strong teams around those characters.” Guardian Monday 12 January 2015 08.46 GMT

Some talk of few bad passes of Besic , look at this almost twice more touches and Barry [Poor language removed] up half of hes 47 , slow us he is. And he will drop Besic .
get killed for this, but i thought it was his worst game for us. The suicide 'blind' ball to Jags, and the mishit back pass that gave them a 2 on 1, could/should have resulted in goals. In the first half, he got caught in possession and gave the ball away far too much. Apart from the Chelsea game, can't really remember him losing the ball before. He looked overawed.
Don't get blinded by the stats, Barry's positional play means he doesn't need to be on the ball all the time. Basic has admitted that he wasn't ready for the PL and that he still needs to bulk up. Hopefully he will get plenty of game time alongside both Barry and McCarthy over the rest of the season, and we will see the best of him from next season.
To qualify my initial statement, i thought it was his worst game, but still thought he was one of of our better players and he has all the makings of being a real star
