Besic should have played last night, along with Gibson and McCarthy in the middle, Besic and McCarthy doing the donkey work, with Gibson pulling the strings. Kiev just strolled through our midfield.

Also, interesting how McCarthy was excellent against Newcastle, but looked piss poor alongside Barry again.

Tbh I think gibson has been the missing link. Since hes come back our play has more drive and zip. His passing has been direct and a breath of fresh air.

Based on his world cup campaign and the few glimpses we have seen him (barring his mare when he came on against Chelsea) Suggesting we sell Besic, we have few others to play in the centre mid role, so I was presuming you would be keeping Barry playing there as Bobby does?
