I like him. Think he's a good player, could be great, but not sure this is the right league for him. Picks up an injury every other game.

It definitely is. He's got everything to be a success in this league. A hamstring injury like that could happen in any game anywhere in the world. He probably needs to strengthen up a bit, which is what they have been working on, but at 23 he will develop.

In his defence, he hadn't had a pre-season, it was his first game since May, and he was by far from our worst player in the first half.

The second half, when Barkley came on, he looked a step above. I agree I don't think he's good enough to be in the team yet, as some people seem to be crying out for. But to say that this year is big is premature, I think. He has already proven his ability, he just needs to match it with consistency. You could see how devastated he was to get injured against Chelsea. He's only 23, and we've got him on a long deal. This doesn't need to be rushed.

I never said he was the worst just pointed out how he lacks discipline for the role people are desperate to see him in. If he's to be a regular he needs to replace Barry and at the moment he's a way off being ready for that but considering Barry's age he needs to be closer to the finished article if he's to step in. Its a tricky situation for the manager I'd imagine, Catch 22. Give him more games and experience to speed his development means we'll be less solid and liable to lose, have him sit and wait it out as Barry draws to a close and he's not getting enough games to progress.

That's why I think he needs to be making quicker progress in the odd games he gets, Barry won't last forever obviously and if he's not ready to step in he'll just end up being overlooked.

Hes maybe at Everton not show what he has nut him for Bosnia is vital part. Since he come in and play on the new menager role he prorct our attack perfect and even venture forward , Play with Pjanic great and we really miss him , even do we won las two games without him it was clear he is block in fron of goal and conection for other players. It s wery imprtan that we have him fit for last game. Sprry that Injury prevent him to finally show what hes showing regulary in National selection.I think against Rags he would do a lot of great work

My point is that whose to say he wouldn't have made that quicker progress had he not been injured so far this season. That's down to bad luck, not of his own doing.

But yes, when he gets the chance, hopefully he'll show what he can do.

Just seems to have gone out of favour with RM atm, pity. I think there is a place for him and why is he not even figuring fully onthe bench for subbing?
He has still not recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered vs Chelsea mid September.

Expected to be back at the end of the month but given it was his second hamstring injury in recent weeks since he picked another one up early in preseason they are likely to be cautious on his reintroduction.

There is something not right at FF with all these hamstring injuries/

Bang on the money.
He is constantly bombing around which people get wet over yet fail to realise the reason he is doing that is because he is so poor positionally that he's constantly having to react to the direction of the play. It's like he doesn't read the game at all.
He's also extremely negative on the ball. It's alright playing a 30 yards raker to the wing, but how about playing a pass that isn't sideways in the final third.
The lads got potential but he is nowhere near ready to be out first choice.

Far me it's also the ponderous nature of the passes, fair enough they're accurate by their often very slow paced and direct. He needs to learn when to play the ball into space to give the man a ball to run onto.

Like we've said he's got potential but he's inexperienced playing this role, his problem for me is how slowly he's adapting to be honest mate.
